Contains the original Origins mod, with a few additional Origins, along with small minor mods and resource packs, that edit the game in a small way.
Modpack is in 1.20.2 only, due to present mods.
The original Origins pack allows the player to chose between multiple mob based power sets, enhancing the gameplay, but still not losing the Original Vanilla feel. Choose an Origin and begin your game with special abilities, some of which help you out, while others hinder you in your gameplay.
The impact means how much it changes from a Vanilla gameplay.
The original selection of Origins include:
- Human
The human option offers a Vanilla experience, while still allowing you to play with others or explore the packs.
- Avian
A low impact Origin, based on chickens. Allows the player to slow fall and run faster, with the drawback of being vegetarian and having to sleep up high.
- Arachnid
Low impact Origin based on spiders. The player has the ability to climb up any wall and summon cobwebs to trap enemies, while hindered by being a carnivore and three less hearts than humans.
- Elytrian
A low impact Origin, similar to parrots or birds. You spawn with a permanent set of elytra wings, and can fly 20 blocks in the air every 30 seconds (action is on a cooldown). You deal more damage while in the air, but cannot wear any armor heavier than chainmail. You take more kinetic damage, and being somewhere with a low celling makes you weaker.
- Shulk
Low impact and based off of shulkers. you have nine additional inventory slots, which are kept even after death. You have natural armor, making you stronger, and you can break natural stones without a pickaxe due to your strength. However, you cannot hold a shield, and you exhaust quicker than humans.
- Feline
Medium impact, based on cats. You cannot take fall damage, and you can jump higher while sprinting. Your footsteps don't cause any vibrations, which could potentially be picked up by nearby lifeforms. You have nine hearts (one less than a human), and creepers are scared of you. You also have weak arms, meaning you cannot mine natural stone (list of natural stones in the doc below) unless there are two other natural stone blocks adjacent to it. You can also see slightly in the dark.
- Enderian
Based off of endermen. Medium impact. You can teleport with infinite ender pearls, and have a further reach. you are afraid of pumpkins, and are hydrophobic, meaning being in contact with water hurts you.
- Merling
High impact. You can breathe underwater, but not on land. You have perfect underwater vision, and can break blocks underwater as if you were on land. You have increased swimming speed, and wen in the water, you can choose to not sink, locking yourself in place as if in creative.
- Inchling
High impact. You are incredibly small, meaning you are unable to jump over blocks. However, you can climb over any wall, as if there was a ladder against it. You have half the amount of health as a regular human, and are immune to thorns or velocity based damage. You exhaust slower, and can ride on other players shoulders.
- Blazeborn
High impact, based off of blazes. You are immune to all types of fire damage, and when on fire, you deal additional damage. You naturally spawn in the Nether. You are immune to all types of poison and hunger status effects, and are hydrophobic, meaning you deal damage when in contact with water.
- Phantom
High impact. You switch between human form and phantom form. When in human form, you will burn in daylight. You can only change into phantom form when you are saturated enough to sprint. While a phantomized, you can walk through all solid material, except for obsidian. You are also invisible in this form. While you are in this form, your metabolism is faster, causing you to be hungry quickly. You have three less hearts than humans.

Additional Origins based off of mobs
- Wolf
Low impact, based off of wolves. The player has two less hearts than humans, and is stronger during a full moon or when with other wolves. Restricted to meat, and can howl for strength.
- Fox
Low impact, with a larger item pickup radius, and quicker speed. Foxes are immune to berry bush damage, and gain more saturation from eating berries than normal. They have two less hearts than humans.
- Drowned
Based on the hostile mob, and low impact. They are experts with tridents, dealing 2+ more damage, and not needing rain to channel lightning or riptide. Guardians wont attack you, and you deal more damage while in water. Since you are undead, you burn in the sunlight, and you exhaust faster than humans. You are also a carnivore.
- Slime
Low impact, based on slimes. All blocks are bouncy, and you cannot take fall damage. You can change your colour with dye, and can turn your food points into a small slime to defend you. You deal almost no damage while at less than two hearts, but gain knockback.
- Witch
Medium impact. You can get a random potion, based on your current situation, and potions will last longer when you drink them. Villagers don't like you, while Pillagers like you.
- Evoker
Medium impact, you have the ability to summon fangs with the active ability button. Totems used have a 10% chance not to break on use. Villagers don't like you, while Pillagers do like you.
- Bee
Medium impact, with a stinger which poisons entities you hit, and bee wings which allow you to descend slower. You have two less hearts than humans, and your vegetarian, with an inability to digest meat. Bees wont attack you when collecting honey, and when your near multiple flowers, you gain regeneration.
- Snow Golem
High impact. You are hydrophobic, receiving damage from water, and will overheat in hot biomes, cooling back down in cool biomes. When overheating, you begin to melt and lose health and speed. You leave a trail of snow, and snowballs you throw deal one damage. You also deal more damage in cold areas.
- Strider
High impact. You are immune to all fire damage, and will naturally spawn in the Nether. You have the ability to walk on lava source blocks just like the mob, and are quicker when walking on lava but slower on land. You're hydrophobic, taking damage when in contact with water. You can eat warped fungus to recover some hunger and gain a small speed boost, and other player can ride you.
- Guardian
High impact. You have spikes that can damage attackers, and guardians don't attack you. You have natural armor from your skin. You are weaker on land, and everything feels slippery. You can breathe underwater, but not on land. You have perfect underwater vision, and can break blocks underwater as if you were on land. You have increased swimming speed, and wen in the water, you can choose to not sink, locking yourself in place as if in creative.

More Origins enhancing other aspects of gameplay
- Floran
Medium impact and plant based. You can grow plants at the cost of hunger, and you are satiated by being exposed to sunlight. You gain strength when exposed to water, take twice as much damage from fire and can only consume honey bottles.
- Truffle
Based on mushrooms, medium impact. You can switch between different Magic Spores. Red Cap boosts offense, Green Cap boosts defense, and Blue Cap boosts mobility. Changing Spores will decrease the abilities of the other two Caps. You can also turn soil blocks into mycelium at the cost of hunger. You gain bonuses based on the Spore you have active when standing on mycelium. Red Cap increases attack speed, Green Cap grants knockback immunity, and Blue Cap amplifies jump height while sprinting. Food is decomposed before it's consumed, nullifying any status effects you would otherwise gain.
- Piglin
High impact. Golden tools deal extra damage and golden armor has additional protection. Golden equipment lasts much longer. You deal 75% more damage with crossbows, and piglins do not attack you unless provoked. Brutes will still attack on sight. Your natural spawn will be in the Nether, and when outside of the Nether, you zombify, becoming undead and immune to fire, but weaker. Eating golden food negates this effect for a while. Your diet is restricted to meat, you can't eat vegetables. Golden food is still edible. You have 2 less hearts of health than humans, and you are afraid of soul fire, becoming weak when near it
- Nucleon
High Impact. You have 3 random powers, each of which will decay into a new power after a certain amount of time.
When choosing your Origin, you also have the option of random, which will chose a random Origin for you to be from the list above.
Other mods present
A mod that adds sprite animations for edible and drinkable items.
A shaders mod, compatible with existing Optifine shaders.
- Mod Menu
Adds a screen for viewing a list of installed mods.
- Pehkui
This mod allows for most entities to have their size and other properties changed, either enlarging or shrinking them. (Needed for Origin mods)
Allows the Vanilla Origin "Phantom" to see other phantoms while in the phasing/invisibility state
- Sodium
Sodium is a powerful rendering engine and optimization mod for the Minecraft client, which improves frame rates and reduces micro-stutter, while fixing many graphical issues in Minecraft. It boasts wide compatibility with the Fabric mod ecosystem when compared to other rendering-focused mods, and it does so without compromising on how the game looks, giving you that authentic block game feel.
brings most of Optifine's eye-candy options to Sodium; in addition to providing some features such as visual bug fixes and other performance options that are not yet available on Sodium.
Provides realistic sound attenuation, reverberation, and absorption through blocks.
- Zoomify
A zoom mod with infinite customizability. Zoomify aims to provide the easiest and most configurable zoom mod you will ever find.
Resource Packs
- Borderless Glass
Removes the border from all types of glass blocks.
- Low On Fire
When you are on fire, flames does not cover your whole screen but only a small fraction of it. Especially helpful to Nether Origins, which stay on fire for long period of time.
- Motschen's Better Leaves
adds additional layers to leaf blocks, making them appear more bushy, dense and natural.
Shaders
BSL shaders are added to the modpack. If any additional shaders are wanted inbuilt, feel free to request!
Ensure you enable all resource packs in settings
All suggestions and alteration requests are encouraged, within moderation. The Refreshed Origins+ (Fabric) modpack was made in mind of both frequent moders and Vanilla players in mind.
