Tech pack designed to feel more immersive and realistic without being cumbersome.
Mods are carefully selected for balance and performance.
Progression feels satisfying while staying true to the sandbox nature of Minecraft.
Custom recipes and progression systems (like ore tripling) that help integrate the mods with interesting mechanics that don't feel grindy.
Now with Quests!!! The quests are designed to guide you without dictating your gameplay or getting in the way of your creativity. Quests will be added that correspond with projects in my Real Tech 3 let's play series.
Mob spawns have been tweaked to add more realistic enemies and animals above ground while banishing the undead and other fantasy mobs to the expanded caves, the Nether and The End.
Survival tweaks add a little more challenge and depth while reducing some constant annoyances.
Custom, biome based, ore generation and prospecting methods along with large, beautiful, more realistic looking caves make resource gathering a fun, explorative, but slightly dangerous experience.
You'll find yourself in a world that feels alive and real.
For a lighter version of this pack designed to perform well on less powerful computers, check out Real Tech Light.

Server Files
I generally don't post server packs, because it's very time consuming to try to account for all the different server environments. But it's relatively easy to set up a server with the regular pack files. The installation details will depend on your environment, and you'll need a basic knowledge of how to install Minecraft servers, but here's a general breakdown:
- Install the correct version of forge (currently 36.2.20)
- Grab all the folders from the "overrides" folder inside the pack zip file and put them inside the folder where you installed forge.
- Copy the mods from the mods folder in an installed instance of the pack and copy them to the server mods folder.
- Remove client only mods that may crash the server. These include: Dynamic Surroundings, Item Physics Lite, Ding, Mouse Tweaks, ReAuth.
- Run the forge jar. How you do this is going to depend on your operating environment. For a Linux/Mac environment, I'd recommend running it within a "screen" session. I don't use Windows for servers, so I have no advice there. The java command is going to look something like this:
java -Xms1024M -Xms4096M -jar forge-1.16.5-36.2.20.jar nogui
Questions, Comments, Ideas, Problems
If you're having fun with this pack, tell me about it below. If you're having problems or have suggestions, please post them in the Issue Tracker.
Hi, I love your pack, I recommend you take a look at True Darkness and TerraForged (mods).
In reply to IssacInzunza:
sorry, I didn't realize I already had a dark mod, I'm new to the pack :p
In reply to IssacInzunza:
Thanks for the suggestion anyway! 😉
I'm glad you love the pack!
i cannot figure out how to get the induction heater to work with the automation process of the crusher, it wants me to use the induction heater from create to use with the vanilla furnace, I'm pretty sure I've got power to it all but I'm just so confused with this process
In reply to 95type_rcd5:
I replied to your youtube comment about this, but I'll follow up here too. The furnace should just work if the induction heater is adjacent to it and has power. You should be able to tell from The One Probe if it has power.
do you have any server files for this Pack OR your other older pack Danny's Sirenuse Pack?
Id love to setup a server for me and my daughter to play on together since we don't live in the same country and with current restrictions imposed in-between countries its stopping us from seeing each other and this is one way we like to meet up to be together.
I've been looking at a few of your packs but these 2 I mentioned don't have server packs. ( or maybe you can direct me on how to make one using the pack files?)
I currently have a PC setup to make Minecraft servers and trying to find a common pack we can enjoy together.

I generally don't post server packs, because it's very time consuming to try to account for all the different server environments, and it's relatively easy these days to set up a server with the regular pack files. The installation details will depend on your environment, and you'll need a basic knowledge of how to install Minecraft servers, but here's a general breakdown

I hope this helps. Let me know if you run into any issues. Feel free to open an Issue for a deeper discussion. It would probably be a good idea for me to have some documentation posted about this process.
1.18 version on soon futer ??
In reply to QuarionEK:
Definitely not soon. Even though all of my mods are in 1.18 now, most of the mods in Real Tech are not, especially the larger ones. It may be a while.
Can we use Optifine with this? I recently found you on youtube and really want to try this. Thanks!
In reply to DJ_DrWright:
I'm pretty sure optifine will work with this pack, but there may be some visual and/or lighting glitches with some of the mods, especially with the multi-block rendering for Immersive Engineering and Create. I don't use Optifine though, so I can't verify any of that. If you wouldn't mind trying it out and then letting me know if you run into any issues, I'll do my best to find a solution.
I would suggest disabling the connected textures feature in Optifine. That's one feature I have seen cause game crashes when interacting with other mods. That was back in 1.12.2 though, so things may have changed.
In reply to Danny_and_Son:
Optifine works just optiFINE. No issues loading and no others while playing. If I find something I will let you know.
In reply to DJ_DrWright:
That's great news! Thanks for the info!
What is the name of the mod that adds the minimap to the corner of the screen? I can't seem to figure out which mod it is.
In reply to fennictheecho:
That is FTB Chunks which also has the chunk claiming feature.
dude, if you put a list of modes in the description, people who can't play with twitch can download and play modes
In reply to kralmcjeturkishproduction:
dude, there is a list of mods in the description. There is also a list of mods in the zip file. However, I would not recommend trying to reconstruct the pack just from the mod list. You won't get the same experience. There is way more to a modpack than just a list of mods. You can use Curseforge, GD Launcher, Multi MC and others. If someone is capable of manually installing forge and then manually constructing a modpack, they should have no trouble installing a lightweight pack launcher.
In reply to kralmcjeturkishproduction:
You see the list of mods in the relations tab. If you only download the mods you may miss out on the configuration. Personally, I use MultiMC and keep well away from Twitch the censors.
In reply to duncan9322:
The relations tab isn't necessarily reliable, because it includes mods that have been removed from the pack. For a current list, click on the specific version under files. Links to all the mods are just below the change log.
Both Multi MC and GD Launcher are great light weight alternatives.
Hi, love the idea for this pack. I'm just wondering, does it have crop breeding?
Also, is there a server zip I can download and run?
Edit:
I found out that you need to make the server yourself. This helped me:
https://www.instructables.com/How-to-Setup-a-Modded-Minecraft-Server-1122/
Also FYI, in order to get the server to start, I needed to remove a mod jar 'soundreloader'
