Modpack Template

A basic modpack/serverpack template for you to build off of and create your own modpack. Contains optimization, utility, and debugging mods.

Overview

 

New to creating a modpack/serverpack? Or just don't want to deal with the hassle of setting up the basics?
This is for you!

 

It provides a basic structure to build off of and create your own unique modpack.

 

This modpack provides:
- Optimization mods
- Debugging mods
- Common utility mods
- Compatibility

 

Recommended Mods That Aren't Added By Default (Modpack &/or Serverpack):

  • 1. SpongeForge (Will work with existing serverpack's mods. However, not all mods work alongside this mod.)
    2. Optifine (Must be manually installed. Cannot be added in modpacks due to license.)

    3. FastWorkbench (Will work with existing modpack's mods. However, not all mods work alongside this mod.)
    4. FastFurnace (Will work with existing modpack's mods. However, not all mods work alongside this mod.)
    5. WOOT (Server-friendly mob farms)
    6. AI Improvements (Doesn't work alongside some mods. Thus is not added by default.)

    7. DupeFix (Only useful if you use one of the mods listed on its modpack page)

    8. Chunk Pregenerator (Conflicts with SpongeForge)

    9. Tiquality (Server-side mod that equally splits the tick usage between all online players)

     

 

How to Apply to Your Own Modpack:

1. Open the Overwolf Launcher.

2. Download this modpack.

3. View your list of downloaded modpacks.

4. Right click this modpack's image or name. Options will appear. Click "Open Folder". The modpack folder files will appear.

5. View the modpack list in Overwolf again.

6. Click "Create Custom Profile". Be sure it is set to "1.12.2".

7. View your list of downloaded modpacks.

8. Right click your modpack's image or name. Options will appear. Click "Open Folder". The modpack folder files will appear.

9. At this point, you should have the folders open for the Modpack Template and your new modpack.

10. Copy and paste all files from the Modpack Template folder to your folder.

11. Once it is done loading the files, click "Play" in Overwolf to play your modpack. This will update the information in the minecraftinstance.json file.

12. Once the modpack has successfully loaded and is ready to play, you may close it.

 

Now you may add / remove / update mods using Overwolf! To make your modpack available to the public you'll need to export the modpack in Overwolf. Then upload that compressed (zipped) folder to a new CurseForge project! The "Start Project" button can be found here.
