Extremo ModPack

Extremo ModPack is the ready-to-play way to enjoy Extremo Mod: a cooperative, attempt-based hardcore challenge for Minecraft 26.3 (Fabric). If one player dies, the attempt ends for the whole team and a brand-new world starts without anyone disconnecting. Defeat the Ender Dragon to win.

Extremo Mod features

The heart of the pack is Extremo Mod:

• One life for the whole team. If anyone dies, the attempt ends for everyone: the cause of death, the time and the team's deaths are shown, a death sound plays, and ten seconds later the next attempt begins.

• A new world every attempt, nobody disconnects. Each attempt gets its own Overworld, Nether and End with a new seed, created on the fly. Everyone is reset as in a new world, and the LAN or tunnel address stays the same.

• Win by defeating the Ender Dragon. You get a "Hardcore completed" summary and can keep playing in survival.

• Attempt HUD and player info. Attempt number and team time on screen, ping and hearts above each player, and deaths and health in the player list (TAB).

• Team marker. Middle-click a block or a mob to mark it for the whole team, visible through walls.

• Custom death sounds. One of Minecraft's (including the classic "oof") or your own .ogg files, heard by every player.
• Statistics and history. Attempts, times and deaths per player, with /extremo, /extremo history and /extremo players.
• Start over anytime. A Delete all data button in the settings brings you back to attempt #1 with no previous history.

What the other mods add

• Quality of life (every version). Jade shows what you're looking at, Armor Hud your equipment durability and AppleSkin your saturation and exhaustion, so you know when you're about to lose a life. LambDynamicLights makes torches light up in your hand, Fancy Toasts gives nicer notifications, and Mod Menu opens Extremo Mod's settings.
• Performance (Optimized versions). More FPS and smoother play: faster game logic (Lithium), lighting (ScalableLux) and world generation (Fast Noise), which matters since every attempt generates a new world; faster startup and lower memory use (ModernFix-mVUS); and lighter rendering (ImmediatelyFast, Async Logger). The Windows versions add the Sodium renderer and other rendering optimizations; the Mac versions include Ciderlight, a Metal renderer for Apple Silicon.

Mods in each version

How to play

One player hosts from their own game (LAN, or a tunnel like e4mc to invite friends anywhere) and the others join, or you play on a dedicated server. Everyone needs the same pack. Press Extremo on the title screen to start.
