Exploration and Fantasy 2.7 (Elemental Clash Update).zip
What's new
* The very elements of the land clash with the Skeleton King. Try as he might, he cannot break the will of that which exists around him fully. The bosses,
the End portal, the Void, everything in unison is trying to fight back against him and even the Kobold and Moon Queen, despite needing to protect their
homelands, gave you the Eyes needed to travel to the End to try and keep the portal intact. He's furious and once again beside himself, but what's he to do?
The most he can do is influence death, choosing amongst lower lifeforms of who gets to live and die, but you are a force that surmounts him, and the King is
all knowing of that fact. One thing he's trying to take control over at the moment are the Ferrous Wroughtnauts, though given that they're not undead, have
wills of their own, and have existed for so long, it's unknown what exactly powers them and gives them life. The most that IS known in current day is that
they were given a purpose by the land itself; to act as a emissary for the End and give the player the means to repair what the Skeleton King has broken.
While this is great and all, it still does bring up the question of what the Ferrous's deal was beforehand and knowing that the Skeleton King couldn't even
figure this out either is interesting.
- The crafting recipes for the Eye of Aether and Nether have been removed. It wasn't the biggest deal they were in the game to begin with, but it bothered me
enough to look into removing them.
- The drop chance of Skeleton King emblems from Haunted Tools has been reduced from 100% to 0.01%. This was an error that managed to slip by as it was
actually a last minute decision I made for them to drop the emblems to begin with.
- The Magical Map that was added in the last update was left as is as a test run to figure out the balancing of the mod. After some thinking, I've determined
that it's too powerful to be obtained at the earliest point of progression that you can obtain it, which can be late early game to early mid game. To truly
balance it out, the crafting recipe for the map has been disabled and it's dropped by the Final Boss Kobold. The Boss List text for the Kobold will be
updated to reflect this.
- The amount of Charms of Keeping 1 that Evokers can drop has been nerfed from up to 2 to only 1.
* ...Oh.
- - The attack damage of the Hierophant has increased from 34 to 35.
- - The attack damage of Thralls has increased from 29 to 30.
- - The attack damage of Claw Traps has increased from 24 to 25.
- - The attack damage of Hierophant Spikes has increased from 29 to 31. This affects both the Hierophant itself and The Staff of The Forgotten.
- - The max health of Thralls has increased from 20 to 22.
- - The max health of Claws Traps has increased from 19 to 20.
- - The Void warns you about the Hierophant and plays ...track around it.
- - The Boss List text of the Hierophant was changed to reflect this.
- Moved the Eye of Frost from the Snow Queen to the Alpha Yeti to make up for him not dropping a boss trophy. His Boss List text has been updated to reflect
this.
- Changed the entire description of the Soulbound effect from Metallurgy to "Souls lost during the Ender Dragon invasions help keep these items after death."
- Changed the entire description of the Royal Blood effect to "How curious. These beings answer the call both of players and monsters. Wear this armor for
them to aid you, their health scales with each armor piece."
- Changed a section to mention the Snow Queen in the Ceruclase Shield's description; "It creates an icy sphere similar to the Snow Queen's power."
- Zombies have an extra 0.01% chance to drop iron ingots.
- The amount of gold ingots that's dropped from Zombie Pigmen has gone down from 5 at max to 3, but is still a 100% drop chance.
- The max amount of gold ingots that can drop from Zombie Pigmen has been buffed from 6 to 8.
* As the strength of the OsVermis grow, they become the greatest pawns of the Skeleton King to attempt to match his strength.
- - OsVermis Spiritus have an extra 0.1% chance to drop the King's Crown.
- - The drop rate of the Skeleton King's emblem from the Spiritus has risen from 0.01% to 0.1%, the only monsters in the game to have this trait.
- - The attack strength of OsVermis Spiritus has increased from 18 to 20.
- - The spawn rate of OsVermis Spiritus has increased from 52 to 55.
- It's said the Wither was created by the same cult that worshipped the Skeleton King during a time where they didn't fully grasp the proper ritual to
summon him. A false God of sorts, nothing more than a hollow effigy created in his likeness, with one too many heads to boot. Though it lacks the strength
to even compare to the Skeleton King remotely, the reason it drops his emblem is because he's been keeping a close eye on it ever since its creation, just
to make sure this mere boney scrap golem of sorts stays down and knows its place. However, that doesn't mean the theme it has should be as sad as its
existence, right? The OST has been updated, the Wither's boss theme, Withered Heights has been added! (This change will be more properly reflected on CurseForge and will be changed in the future patch notes, but Withered Heights is NOT in the main OST! If the song was made earlier, it would've been.)
- Initially, all of the secret tracks were kept out of Melomania, but now, they're all being added to the playlist for the sake of convenience! Tracks 11
through 17 are now in Melomania.
* Just in case you were curious, secret tracks are songs that were purposefully kept out of Melomania and only play in certain biomes. Bonus tracks are
songs that play under different circumstances that were made outside of the first 8 tracks, which are part of the main OST.
- The Void realigns ...track so that it's recognized as the 15th song in the OST, to avoid confusion on whether or not it's part of the main OST. It's not.
- Slightly fixed the title while exporting Weeping Blues so that it's called the 4th secret track in the game files.
- Added the Audio Death (and its dependency, Additional Resources) mod. Whereareyou will now play upon death.
