Exploration and Fantasy 2.2 (Out At Sea Update).zip
What's new
- Swapped out Ido for Aquatic Acrobatics. The swimming of Ido has weird collision and player detection issues that sometimes causes you to get stuck in
water like there's a wall in front of you, at times preventing you from moving and at other times outright dealing damage to you. While I tried to ignore it
due to it not being super consistent when this happens, it was enough for me to finally pull the plug on Ido and get a swimming mod that doesn't come with
these issues.
- Counting the mods that can't be included in the modpack, this is the 100th and final mod to be added; Backported Flora. This was mainly added to remove
the Abyssal Depths seaweed in favor of another mod that could add animated seaweed. Due to the other things this mod added though, there were other actions
taken in accordance;
- - The Lily of The Valley added by Backported Flora will be disabled.
- - The Cornflower added by Backported Flora will be disabled.
- - The Wither Rose added by Backported Flora will be disabled.
- - Kelp Soup added by Backported Flora will be disabled.
- - item.null.name, which represents the mod's icon, will be disabled.
- - Abyssal Depths seaweed has been disabled.
Some of these changes will also be reflected in the scripts folder!
- Elytra flight was fixed to be how it is in newer Minecraft versions, allowing for much easier control of flight.
- In a move that can be seen as more mockery towards the Guardians that the Hierophant forced out of their monuments, Hierophant temples are moving
completely out of the deep oceans and are now only located in regular oceans.
- While the winds of the deep oceans are much more aggressive, regular oceans are much more serene in comparison. Ironic given the recent move of the
Hierophant. Even with the presence of this strange being residing exclusively in normal oceans now, it doesn't threaten most of the life found here, after
all, he tends to keep to himself within them. In a way, it's relaxing even if Sea Serpents run amok here. They're just a part of the normal wildlife in the
ocean after all, why would they be a bother in the grand scheme? Despite everything, perhaps you'll find peace and respite in the sounds of the waves here.
- In a similar fashion to the oceans, the sounds of the Jungle are quite nice as well. A bit stranger in this case though as you'll hear the sounds of
animals that aren't exactly there, giving more credence to the fact that the winds of different biomes aren't exactly all that they seem. They're not...
natural in a sense if you get what I'm trying to say. Some such as the Spooky Forest's or the Void's sound exactly fitting for the scenario you're in, but
not here. It's still calming though, if a bit unsettling at the same time given the context.
- For the longest time, the Dreaded Queen left her blades in the clutches of the Ice Dragons, who seemed to be capable guardians of such an acclaimed weapon.
However, Frostmaws have gotten more powerful lately, seemingly out of nowhere as well. Geared more towards the endgame now, the attack scaling of Frostmaws
has increased from 2.3 to 2.5, having the potential to oneshot you even in the strongest armor with their overhead attack. The reward is greater now however.
Unlike the Ice Dragons that they stole the blades away from, Frostmaw will ALWAYS drop the Blade of the Dreaded Queen. Find some way to keep the distance on
them to claim your reward. If I'm remembering correctly, bows don't work on them...maybe Barako's spear would?
- Fixed the Strange Meat's text. It went back to the default somehow. That or I forgot to actually change it. Oops.
- The Dread Portal block has been disabled. It's near non-functional and I wanted to make the Ice Dragons drop them as a fun little cosmetic block and then
I was swiftly reminded why I can't do anything with them. They break when you place them next to each other, don't easily allow other blocks to be placed
next to them, and break after a short time of being placed down. It's a shame, the portal block looks really cool even if it doesn't really do anything.
- Something is happening in the Nether. I don't like it in here.
- It's almost like the ever growing hostility of the Nether is empowering the OsVermis. Their attack has increased from 15 to 16, HP from 52 to 54 and
spawn rate from 50 to 52.
- Experience Ore is a little more forgiving now, the highest y level it's found at is 25 instead of 20.
