THIS MODPACK IS IN VERY EARLY ALPHA. Some of the workarounds employed to make Terrafirmcraft and Minecolonies compatible are subject to change and may be buggy or unbalanced. Some recipes for Minecolonies colonists have yet to be added. This modpack is meant to be played in US English.
Only two things are certain in this world: death and taxes. For the life of the primitive man is solitary, nasty, brutish, and short. The only way to conquer starvation, thirst, and scarcity is to establish sedentary society, and of course, the only person that can be trusted to run such a society is yourself. Death and Taxes adds TerraFirmaCraft's realistic and unforgiving survival mechanics, bringing nutrition, thirst, food spoilage, dangerous winters, and natural predators, to make for a realistic survival early-game.
As you bring the Overworld out of the Dark Ages, you will use the colony system from Minecolonies to establish a settlement, complete with citizens with lives of their own. With your settlement comes division of labor, and a new mode of automation that allows you to automate TerraFirmaCraft recipes that otherwise can't be performed at scale. Death and Taxes is the first Minecraft modpack to offer compatibility between TerraFirmaCraft's primitive and realistic survival system and Minecolonies' player-run settlement mechanics, adding a colony blueprint and colonist crafting recipes for TerraFirmaCraft items.
With factory fodder at your disposal, your unrelenting push to the stars continues. Using Create, Immersive Engineering, and Thermal Expansion, the age of artisans and family values will quickly become the age of steam and steel. All a means to one end: reaching space, with Ad Astra.
There's more than meets the eye, though. Magical forces are all around you (Ars Nouveau), and tears in the fabric of reality populate the Earth (DimensionalDoors).
For there is a specter haunting this world. The specter of [REDACTED]. (Not yet implemented) And you'd best not be swayed by Him.
