What's new
Createch 2 — 0.8.5
Military, Aqua Mire & Greate
0.8.5 is a focused integration update built around three major areas: the return of Greate, a rebuilt military progression, and the first proper Aqua Mire gameplay loop.
Greate Returns
Greate has been ported and bundled for Minecraft 1.21.1.
Create's machinery can now begin growing alongside the GregTech material ladder instead of remaining a mostly flat technology layer.
-
Added the Createch 2 Greate port.
-
Added tiered kinetic machinery and infrastructure.
-
Added Greate JEI, Jade and KubeJS integration.
-
Added tier-specific stress capacities and machine behavior.
-
Establishes the groundwork for Create machinery to scale deeper into Createch 2's late-game engineering progression.
This is an important step toward the long-term goal of making Createch 2 feel like one continuous engineering system rather than several separate tech mods.
Military Science Rebuilt
The infantry weapon system has been consolidated around TaCZ.
Just Enough Guns has been removed and its old parallel weapon progression has been retired. The redundant TaCZ Plus package has also been removed; TaCZ itself remains the firearm authority.
Military equipment now plugs directly into Createch 2's research and industrial progression.
New staged weapons include:
-
M1911
-
AK-47
-
M16A1
-
M4A1
-
M249
-
M320
-
M107
-
RPG-7
The TaCZ Gun Smith Table, Ammo Workbench and Attachment Workbench now require proper industrial components instead of existing outside the progression system.
Military Science research now progressively unlocks firearms alongside metallurgy, mechanisms, electronics and ballistics.
Combined-Arms Engineering
Military progression now extends beyond handheld weapons.
New or reworked engineering routes include:
-
Mounted machine guns
-
Underwater mines
-
Naval sonar
-
Anti-aircraft launchers
-
C75 guided interceptors
-
Radar/fire-control integration
-
Shield-generator integration
-
Ammunition logistics using Create infrastructure
Military Science also received an expanded quest path, including an optional logistics branch built around rail stations, item vaults and ammunition storage.
The goal is increasingly Factorio-style military escalation: weapons are part of your factory, logistics network and research program rather than isolated loot.
Aqua Mire
Lantea is becoming Createch 2's dedicated hostile water world.
0.8.5 adds a new Aqua Mire quest chapter covering the first complete underwater engineering progression:
-
Reach Lantea
-
Measure depth with the Fathometer
-
Construct pressure-resistant hull systems
-
Build ballast systems
-
Add underwater propulsion
-
Establish oxygen production
-
Build submarine rigging
-
Establish docks and motorboat logistics
-
Harvest Oxyhelium
-
Construct decompression infrastructure
-
Deploy sonar, underwater mines and shields
Aqua Mire is now tied directly into existing Create, Create Submarine, Crush Depth, ComputerCraft and industrial progression.
Lantea Gets More Dangerous
Aquamirae ecology has been introduced directly into Lantea's custom biomes.
Deep-water regions can now contain:
-
Anglerfish
-
Eels
-
Spinefish
-
Abyssal Scyphoids
Different creatures are restricted to progressively deeper waters, making depth itself part of the danger curve.
Oxyhelium can now generate on Lantea in appropriate abyssal biomes and is required for advanced decompression technology.
Aquamirae Salvager equipment now also provides meaningful Crush Depth pressure protection.
Deep-Sea Engineering Expanded
New progression-controlled recipes were added for:
-
Industrial alarms
-
Decompression chambers
Permanent underwater installations can now combine pressure instrumentation, ComputerCraft automation, alarms and harvested abyssal resources.
Aqua Mire is intended to become more than "the water planet": it is the beginning of a full naval, submarine, resource-extraction and hostile-ocean engineering fantasy.
Questbook Cleanup
The questbook has received another navigation pass.
Chapters are now organized into clear categories:
-
Survival
-
Factory
-
Grid
-
Space
-
Nuclear
-
Endgame
-
Optional
Military Science now lives inside the Optional engineering branch, while Aqua Mire joins the Space progression.
Several stray Chance Cube nodes were also removed from the opening chapter to keep early-game onboarding focused.
Updates & Cleanup
0.8.5 also updates 16 existing mods, including:
-
Createch 2 Core
-
JEI
-
FTB Chunks
-
Psi
-
Entity Model Features
-
Entity Texture Features
-
Champions
-
Create: Avionics
-
Create Aeronautics: Transmission & Linkage
-
Enhanced Celestials 2
-
Just Enough Mekanism Multiblocks
-
Moonlight Lib
-
and supporting libraries
Additional configuration and compatibility cleanup was performed around TaCZ, Aquamirae, Crush Depth, Create and the new Greate port.
Createch 2 0.8.5 is about convergence.
Create is becoming Gregified.
Military equipment is becoming industrialized.
Lantea is becoming Aqua Mire.
And the pack continues moving toward one connected civilization campaign from stone tools to interplanetary industry.
