Major update:

• You might want to start a new world as there have been a number of world generation changes (added/removed biomes, new natural feature generation, new structure generation).
• Refined Storage 1.6 makes a number of significant feature changes that will likely break some automatic crafting setups in existing RS systems, though the actual stored items should be migrated safely.
• A number of optional client-only graphical enhancement mods have been added which will increase system requirements. If you have performance issues, try disabling Better Foliage and/or Dynamic Surroundings.

New mods:

• Bad Wither No Cookie Reloaded - localize the wither/dragon sounds so they don't play on the whole server.
• Better Foliage - various graphical effects to make "nature" look nice. Client-side only - can be disabled for lower end computers.
• BetterFps - general performance improvements for Minecraft.
• Cloud Control - change the cloud rendering height to better fit the tall terrain BoP can generate.
• Clumps - combine XP orbs to reduce lag, especially in mob farms.
• Crafting Tweaks - adds buttons to manipulate the crafting grid in various ways.
• Dynamic Surroundings - graphical and sound effects to make the world pretty. Client-side only - can be disabled for lower end computers.
• Familiar Fauna - adds several new kinds of passive mob to appropriate biomes.
• KleeSlabs - allow breaking only half of a double slab block.
• Natura - adds new kinds of trees and plants to existing biomes.
• Nature's Compass - allows searching for biomes.
• Quark - large number of small feature/content additions with a vanilla flavor.
• RebornStorage - multiblock crafter for Refined Storage and larger capacity storage disks.
• Recurrent Complex - generates various new kinds of structure in the world.
• Serene Seasons - adds a seasonal cycle to the world, affecting crop growth and visuals.
• Simple Harvest - right click crops to harvest them without needing to replant the seeds.
• Sound Filters - adds reverb and filtering effects to make sounds more realistic. Client-side only - can be disabled for lower end computers.
• TorchMaster - adds special torches that block hostile and/or passive mob spawning in a large area.
• Xtones - adds various decorative blocks for building.

Removed mods:

• Morpheus - no longer required as Quark contains an equivalent sleep voting system.

Notable mod updates:

• Refined Storage 1.6 has major changes to the mod - several features are removed or significantly altered; check the Refined Storage changelog if you are updating an existing world with a Refined Storage system.
• Biomes'o'Plenty has added and removed several biomes in the latest version.

Config changes:

• Significantly reduced generation rate of Biomes'o'Plenty gem ores as they were appearing very frequently despite having only limited use.

Updated other mods to current stable versions.
