Description

The Inverted
Something is watching.
A scream breaks the silence. You turn and see nothing. Later, something is standing where the darkness meets the trees. It does not move while you watch. Look away, and it comes closer.
The Inverted adds a powerful, four-armed horror creature to Minecraft. It stalks you from outside your view, waits under your gaze and can suddenly turn the encounter into a violent charge. Defeating it buys you time. It does not end the threat.
Keep it in sight. Keep your distance.
While stalking, the creature approaches whenever it is not directly observed. Face it with a clear line of sight and it stays in place, playing its watchful animation. Turn away and the approach resumes. Getting too close or attacking it can provoke an immediate charge. Once it has decided to attack, looking at it will not stop it.

The creature is dangerous by default: 280 health points, armor and heavy melee damage. It follows reachable routes without breaking or placing blocks. It rises into a bipedal attack, strikes with four arms and briefly applies Darkness. It also fights back against mobs that hurt it, including iron golems and skeletons. While stalking, it periodically decides whether to keep following or attack. After more than three minutes, it may instead dissolve into black mist. There is no fixed moment when every encounter must end.

The default encounter chance is 25% per complete day/night cycle. A selected cycle can allow at most one automatic encounter per player; a suitable location is still required, so an appearance is not guaranteed. Spawn timing varies. Above ground, the creature appears only at night. Underground, it can appear in dark caves during the day as well. It starts out of sight, at a distance, rather than appearing directly in front of you.

Some distant night screams are false alarms: no creature has spawned. These calls have their own 25% nightly chance and can be skipped entirely. Quiet nights are part of the experience, and hearing a scream alone does not prove that a monster is nearby.

Survive it. Claim the spoils.
A player kill drops 8–16 guaranteed diamonds plus three weighted rewards from a pool of 160 possibilities. The pool includes weapons, tools and armor with multiple compatible enchantments, including diamond and netherite equipment, along with valuable materials. The same reward recipe is not drawn twice in one kill. Vanishing into mist gives no loot. Killing the creature does not prevent encounters in later cycles.

Your story starts with a warning.
On your first entry into a world with the mod enabled, a written diary arrives in your inventory and you hear a distant scream, even during the day. This introduction does not spawn a monster. The diary and introductory scream are recorded once per player, per world. Returning, respawning or changing dimensions does not repeat them. A full inventory delays the diary until a slot is free. In-game text supports English, Italian, French, German, Spanish and Russian. The diary, subtitles and command messages follow your selected Minecraft language.
