Dyeable obsidian armor, and trims that give abilities
TADA adds a four-piece obsidian armor set and gives every smithing trim a potion effect. The trim abilities work on any armor, including diamond, netherite and armor from other mods.
Obsidian armor
- Helmet, chestplate, leggings and boots. Defense 5 / 8 / 10 / 5, toughness 4, knockback resistance, high durability.
- Dye it in any color. Wash the dye off in a cauldron.
- All vanilla smithing templates can be applied.
Recipes (O = obsidian, A = amethyst shard, G = gold ingot):
- Helmet: O A O / G _ G
- Chestplate: O _ O / O A O / G O G
- Leggings: O A O / O _ O / G _ G
- Boots: O _ O / G _ A
Trim abilities
Each smithing template gives exactly one effect while a trimmed piece is worn. The effect is refreshed every 5 seconds, with particles hidden.
- Fire Resistance: Rib, Snout, Host
- Conduit Power: Tide, Coast
- Slow Falling: Vex, Flow, Raiser
- Night Vision: Eye, Wayfinder, Ward
- Jump Boost II: Spire, Wild
- Strength: Bolt, Silence. Each piece adds two levels, up to Strength VIII with four pieces.
The same effect from several pieces does not stack, except Strength. Four pieces with four different trims give four abilities. Sentry, Dune and Shaper have no ability yet.
Gold trims and piglins
Any worn piece with a gold trim counts as golden armor for piglins, on any armor.
Configuration
config/tada.json: check interval, effect duration, Strength levels per piece and maximum, restrict abilities to TADA armor, piglin behavior on or off.
