What's New

New Block: Aster Table

Added the Aster Table, a new placeable crafting/workstation block.

The Aster Table is now the main station used for:

  • Upgrading relics with Aster Cores
  • Rerolling relic sub-stats with Dust of Enlightenment
  • Viewing relic information

Relic Upgrading Moved from Anvil to Aster Table

  • The anvil no longer handles Aster Core relic leveling.
  • The anvil no longer handles Dust of Enlightenment rerolling.
  • Relic upgrades are now handled through the Aster Table.
  • Dust rerolls and Aster Core upgrades remain supported through the Aster Table.

Other Additions

  • Added Legendary rarity visuals to the Aster Table.

Fixed

  • Reduced vanilla menu background blur behavior on custom Relic System screens in Minecraft 1.21.1.
  • Stat Summary and Aster Table screens now use the mod’s own background styling instead of relying on vanilla blurred menu backgrounds.
  • Fixed empty bowls receiving relic data after eating stew.
  • Fixed affected bowls becoming unstackable because of unwanted relic NBT.
  • Added cleanup for invalid relic data on stackable non-relic items, including bowls already affected by the bug.
  • Fixed overly broad weapon-name detection so items like bowls are not mistaken for bows.
  • Improved server-to-client config sync reliability.
  • Fixed several client-side displays and screens using local config values instead of the server's synced settings.
  • Relic System enabled state, crit settings, set bonus toggle, level-name display, relic lock, recycling, and phantom slot settings now respect synced server config more consistently.
  • Fixed Dust chest loot config mismatch so listed chances match in-game behavior.
  • Improved 1.21.1 chest loot support, including modded chest loot tables.
  • Fixed Aster Cores and Dust from different sources not stacking correctly.

Performance

  • Improved relic tooltip performance when hovering gear.
  • Improved the Relic Stat Summary screen opened with I.
  • Reduced repeated relic-data parsing while rendering tooltips, Aster Table previews, stat summaries, and equipped stat calculations.
  • Reduced hitches when newly acquired gear receives relic stats.
  • Client tooltips, names, stat screens, and related display logic should now better match the server's actual Relic System settings.

Compatibility

  • Improved compatibility and performance when Sol's Item Rarity is installed.
  • Relic System v1.3 is intended to be paired with Sol's Item Rarity v1.5 or newer.
  • Items from chests or backpacks are processed when they enter the player inventory or equipment slots.

Gameplay Changes

  • Removed the old anvil-based relic upgrade flow.
  • Relic upgrades are now handled through the Aster Table.
