Sky's Building Pieces

Sky’s Building Pieces gives you more shapes to build with, using familiar Minecraft materials and textures. Add finer details to roofs, walls, paths and interiors without needing special tools or crafting templates.

• Horizontal and vertical steps, plus smaller corner pieces.
• Stairs for materials missing a vanilla stair.
• Non-wooden walls and ice-family panes.
• Ordinary vertical dirt slabs.

Not every material has every shape, and existing vanilla pieces are reused where suitable.

One slab item, both directions

Use the regular slab item for horizontal or vertical placement. Clicking near the centre of a block face places against that face; clicking near an edge lets you place along it.

Vertical slabs drop regular slabs when broken and don’t clutter the creative inventory with separate entries. Matching pieces can combine into supported larger shapes or full blocks.

Straightforward crafting

Pieces use ordinary crafting recipes made from their matching materials. There are no templates to carry around or cutting tools to maintain.

Materials retain their appropriate textures, sounds and properties. Grass pieces use biome colours, spread and decay into matching dirt pieces, with snow-covered visuals where appropriate.

Works on its own

Sky’s Building Pieces does not generate or smooth terrain.

Sky’s Grass Slabs is an optional companion for horizontal dirt and grass slabs, path slabs and turf. The separate Biomes O’ Plenty add-on extends the building catalogue with BOP materials.
