Skyroot Islands transforms the Overworld by adding rare, massive floating islands high above the terrain.
Each island is generated with a more natural, irregular shape designed to look like a piece of the world was torn from the ground and left suspended in the sky. Islands can vary significantly in size and silhouette, including larger formations reaching up to around 150 blocks across.
The islands can feature forests, caves, ores, vegetation, hanging vines, small lakes, waterfalls, and nearby satellite islands that make each formation feel more like a complete floating ecosystem.
Some waterfalls can flow into lower floating fragments or natural stone basins instead of falling all the way to the ground, creating more believable and scenic island formations.
Generation is designed to remain rare enough to feel special while still being discoverable during normal exploration. Islands generate at high elevations, with natural height variation around their average altitude.
