Description
Seal of the Stone
Find the nearest deposit without ever seeing through walls.
No X-ray, no coordinates on screen, no ghost blocks — just a scan that tells you which direction to dig.
How it works
Craft the Seal of the Stone, right-click to open the mineral catalog, pick a substance, scan. It searches a sphere of already-loaded terrain around you, groups connected ore blocks into a single deposit, and reports the nearest one. From there a directional HUD takes over: distance in blocks, a plain-word direction, and a sense of how far above or below your feet the deposit sits.
The catalog
Fully data-driven, covering every vanilla ore plus six substances with no vanilla equivalent — Zinc, Silver, Lead, Jade, Uranium, Nickel — split across Metals, Gems and Rocks tabs.
Install a compatible ore mod and its blocks appear automatically in the right tab, picked up through the shared c:ores/<name> tag convention with no configuration needed.
Cost and cooldown
Each scan costs 1 XP (free in Creative) and has a 20-second cooldown.
Advanced Seal
The Advanced Seal of the Stone swaps two of the base recipe's ingredients for diamonds. Once forged, scanning costs 0 XP and the cooldown drops to 5 seconds — the price is paid once, in the recipe.
