Description
Void Chest
Studio page: worldsfromblocks.com/projects/minecraft/void-chest/
Put it in. Close. It is gone.
This is not a simple chest. It does not keep anything. Place two next to each other and you still have two blocks — they never become a double chest.
Craft a Void, put one down, open it. The screen is the small-chest layout: twenty-seven slots and your inventory. Drop junk in. Close. Whatever sat in those twenty-seven slots is destroyed. It does not bounce back into your inventory. It does not spill on the floor. It is not written into the block. If something actually burned, you hear a hiss.
Open it again: empty. Break it: the Void item comes back; the contents never existed. Two people can use the same block at once and each still starts from empty, because there is no shared inventory to share.
Hoppers, droppers, and pipes have nowhere to insert. Closing the screen is the confirm. There is no filter, no “keep the diamonds”, no upgrade slot. Easy to throw away the wrong stack. That is the job.
Crafting
A chest, rewritten:
F M F
G C G
O O O
| | |
| - |----------- |
| F |Fire Charge |
| M |Magma Block |
| G |Gold Ingot |
| C |Chest |
| O |Obsidian |
No chest loot. Creative inventory has it for testing.
Mine it with an iron pickaxe or better. It is as hard as an ender chest.
Looks
The placed block is a 1×1 chest-shaped cube (metal corners, crystal latch). Inventory uses a 64×64 icon. The GUI is the vanilla single-chest screen. No lid animation.
What it is not
Not a double chest. Not an ender chest. Not a drawer void upgrade. Not a pipe sink. Lava still exists if you want fire; this one just eats the stack when you close.
