Reroll Helper adds a book button to the villager trade screen. The button opens a list of every offer that villager's profession can roll at its current level, with the vanilla minimum and maximum emerald price. Pick one or more trades or enchantments, set the most you want to pay, and press Start.
By default, Start breaks the job-site block and places it again until one of the chosen offers appears at or under that price. That is the same break-and-replace a player can do by hand. The mod stops when a match is found, and an attempt cap stops it if no match turns up. It refuses a villager who has already been traded with. Names that do not fit the row scroll, and the price stays in its own column.
Use it when you want to see the full price range before you commit to a trade, and when you would rather not break the lectern yourself over and over.
In game, the mod is still named Villager Reroller.
Requirements
Minecraft 1.19 to 26.3 on Fabric and Forge. 1.21.2 is not supported. Each file is built and tested for one Minecraft version, so pick the file that matches your game.
Fabric
- Fabric Loader
- Fabric API. Required. The mod uses it for keybinds and screen events.
- Cloth Config. Required. The settings screen (enabled switch, attempt cap, and panic stop) is built with it.
- Mod Menu. Required. It is how you open that settings screen. The reroll key can also be changed in the vanilla Controls menu.
Forge
- Minecraft Forge. No other mods are needed. Settings open from the Config button in the Mods list, on a built-in screen.
- On 1.20.6 with Trade Cycling, use Forge 50.0.8. Trade Cycling's 1.20.6 build does not work with newer 1.20.6 Forge builds.
Trade Cycling (optional)
If Max Henkel's Trade Cycling mod is installed, the panel can switch the reroll to that mod's cycle action and leave the job block in place. Reroll Helper does not include Trade Cycling, and it is not affiliated with or endorsed by Trade Cycling or its author.
How the default reroll works
The default reroll needs the job-site block and a suitable tool in your inventory, and the villager has to be standing next to that block. A villager with trade experience, a level above novice, or a used offer is refused. Stop, Esc, or the toggle key (default K) cancels at any time.
Multiplayer
On a server, Reroll Helper automates the vanilla break-and-replace a player can do by hand. It gives no advantage over other players. Check a server's rules before using it there.
