Villager Reroller 1.1.0 (Forge 26.1.2)
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Villager Reroller 1.1.0
Client-side mod for Fabric, Minecraft Forge, and NeoForge. The same jar also loads on a dedicated server. 1.0.0 shipped for Minecraft 1.21.11. 1.1.0 keeps that behavior and adds the changes below.
My villagers
Press V (or the My villagers button) to open the checklist. It lists villagers whose trades are locked in, with each offer, and highlights trades you still want. The list is saved per world, next to the wanted-trade picks, and comes back when you reopen that world. An empty checklist explains how to lock a villager in and how to pick wanted trades. Search and filters cover all locked villagers, still-needed trades, librarians, and other professions.
Trading hall and trade picker
The trading hall queues nearby villagers and rerolls each one in place. It looks at the job site and does not walk. Locked villagers and job sites out of reach are skipped, with a progress line and a summary when the queue finishes. The hall screen and the trade picker use the same polished layout: names that do not fit are ellipsized, with a tooltip for the full line, and long tooltips stay on screen.
The trade picker still lists every offer that profession can roll at the current level, with the vanilla emerald range. Chosen targets and the most you will pay are saved per profession in config/villager_reroller-picks.json. Before Start, the panel shows the chance of hitting a selected trade at that price, written as about 1 in X attempts, plus a time estimate for the method you have selected. A match plays the experience-orb chime. Volume is on the settings screen, from 0 to 100.
Job-site breaks
On an integrated server the mod still breaks and replaces the lectern. The look packet now includes the player position as well as the rotation, so a lag spike cannot leave the server player at a stale position and reject the break as out of range. If the server restores the block, the mod retries the break, and it keeps mining a predicted break until the villager actually loses the job.
Settings and tools
The settings screen is a vanilla screen on Fabric, Forge, and NeoForge. Cloth Config is no longer required. Open it with J, from Mod Menu when that mod is installed, or from the Forge or NeoForge mods list. Settings still save to villager_reroller.json.
Tools at or below a durability floor (default 10 uses left) are skipped. Equally fast tools prefer an unenchanted one, then one without Mending. The bare hand is the fallback when the block allows it. The run stops with a chat message when no safe tool remains. A server-friendly preset slows the cycle spacing, the timeouts, and the camera turn. The camera eases toward the block instead of snapping.
The enchantment, level, and maximum-emerald settings are gone. Older config files that still contain those keys keep loading.
Trade Cycling
Trade Cycling stays optional. The panel can use that mod's cycle action only when the connected server advertises its channel. Otherwise the toggle is greyed out and the cycle packet is not sent.
Dedicated server
A dedicated Fabric, Forge, or NeoForge server that has this jar, or a Paper server with the Villager Reroller plugin, can advertise villager_reroller:v1 and reroll a fresh villager's offers in place. The client keeps breaking and replacing the job site when that hello never arrives. Server operators edit config/villager_reroller-server.json (cost, cooldown, permission, distance, and whether only fresh villagers are accepted). The Paper plugin uses the same fields in plugins/VillagerReroller/config.yml and supports Paper 1.19 through 1.21.x.
