Blueprints, made easy. Load a build, see it as a see-through ghost in your world, and put it up block by block while the screen tells you what to do next. For Minecraft 26.3 on Fabric. It runs on your client alone, so it works on any server, and you never need a tutorial to use it.

- Ghost it. Load a
.litematic build and it floats where you aim. Scroll to turn it, Shift + scroll to lift it, press M to mirror it, click to lock it down. Grab it by its body and carry it, however big it is.
- See what's left. Blocks you got right disappear from the ghost, wrong ones turn red, and a progress bar fills up. A pulsing marker shows the next block, and Layers lets you work one level at a time.
- Know what to fetch. The materials list compares what the build needs with your inventory, written as stacks ("3 stacks + 12"). Click a row to light up where those blocks go, or copy the shopping list.
- Save your own. Click a build in your world and a box fits round it. Drag the sides, choose whether the ground, trees and plants come along, and save it as a
.litematic.
- A library, not a folder. Previews you can spin, search, tags, and drag a file onto the window to add it.
- Auto-placing, if you want it. One press places the ghost block you are looking at, or everything in reach. Off by default, and on a server it asks first.
- Paste in creative. In a world you host, press P to drop the whole build in at once. Ctrl+Z puts everything back.
- It explains itself. Little hints by the cursor show the mouse button or key for what you can do right now.

The first time you play, a small card reminds you of the keys. Press J any time for a short lesson on every tool. An empty Library has an "Add a sample house" button so you can try it straight away.
Tap V to start or stop editing. Hold V to open the wheel: Library, Edit, Layers, Build, Materials and Save.
Put your builds in config/buildbuddy/blueprints or the game's schematics folder, open the Library, and click one. It follows your crosshair: scroll to turn, Shift + scroll to lift, M to mirror, click to lock it. To move it later, tap V and drag an arrow or the ring, or press on the build and look where you want it.
Ctrl+Z undoes and Ctrl+Y redoes. H hides every ghost. Delete removes the one you are on. You can rebind the keys in Controls.
To save a build, hold V, choose Save, and click the build you want. Right click to save it.

- Minecraft Java 26.3 on Fabric. Fabric API is required: it serves the mod's art and sounds.
- Works with Sodium, and with Iris shaders (checked with Complementary).
- Client side only. Nothing has to be installed on a server.

Put the Build Buddy jar and Fabric API in your mods folder. Builds go in config/buildbuddy/blueprints, or in the game's schematics folder where Litematica keeps them.

- Auto-placing uses the game's own block placing, at your normal reach and at most 20 blocks a second, and you can see your arm swing. Some servers don't allow building aids, so on a server it asks first and remembers your answer for that server. Check the server's rules before you turn it on.
- Chest contents and mobs are not saved with a build. Sign text is kept.
- Pasting only works in creative, in a world you host. On other servers the game's command limits make a build of any size impractical, so use the ghost and the progress bar there.

Build Buddy is free. If it saves you some building time, a coffee helps fund the next update.
