Pay2Craft by DelinkedDE
0.1.0 OUT NOW – Launch Day Edition™
It's in the game. For a small fee.

Ever thought Minecraft was too fair? Too free? Too… fun? Pay2Craft fixes that. It is a loving satire on microtransactions, loot boxes, battle passes, ads and every other "feature" modern games love to sell you – packed into one gloriously annoying mod.
Every item has a price, every action has a fee, the tax office taxes everything and the algorithm always wins. In-game currency only. No real money. Ever.

The Paywall
Premium content is everywhere. Because you're worth it.
Everything has a price
- Every item gets a coin value – calculated automatically from recipes, rarity and crafting depth.
- Works with modpacks out of the box: modded items are valued through their recipes and convention tags.
- The value is shown in every tooltip. Sell items from the menu or with
/p2c sell– minus platform fee and sales tax, of course.
Usage fees and the purchase popup
- Crafting tables, furnaces, chests, beds, anvils, enchanting tables and villagers all charge a usage fee.
- Every purchase opens a popup with a big green BUY NOW button and a tiny grey "No, I don't like convenience".
- Buying needs an "Are you sure?" confirmation with a 3-second Terms of Service countdown. Declining needs confirming, too.
- Surge pricing: buy the same thing too often and "high demand" raises the price.
- Smelting costs a fee per finished item. Can't pay? The furnace waits – and keeps burning your fuel.
Daily Licenses PRO™
- Hunting License, Lumberjack License, Mining License, Boating License, Sprint Subscription and Ad-Free Pass.
- No mining license? No mining. No sprint subscription? Walking pace.
- Licenses expire at sunrise. Renewals extend them. Reminders are free.
Structures, inventory and health
- Villages, temples and ancient cities are premium content: a 15-second free trial, then you get pushed out until you buy a structure pass.
- Inventory rental: rows 2 and 3 of your inventory are locked until you unlock them. Space is the new gold.
- No natural regeneration. Bandages, first aid kits and the Premium Healing Potion™ are waiting in the shop.
- Even chatting costs a coin per message.

The Tax Office
Taxes on everything. No appeal possible.
- VAT on crafting, trade tax with villagers, sales tax and income tax on your daily bonus.
- Mineral resources tax when you find ores.
- Boating tax per block, rail transport levy, aviation tax for elytra flights and a building tax for every placed block.
- Dog tax per pet and day, a portal toll for every dimension change and a gambling tax on good wins.
- Inheritance tax: dying costs 10 % of your fortune.
- Taxes never block you. If you can't pay, a tax debt is recorded and seized from your next income.
- Your official tax assessment, styled as a real letter from the tax office – red stamp included.
Fritze, the tax auditor
- Every now and then Fritze from the tax office shows up and follows you around.
- Once he catches you, he audits your inventory and demands a back payment.
- Refusing is possible – the late fee is enforced anyway.
- Running away is pointless. Hitting him costs extra. He is invulnerable.

Surprise Mechanics
Not gambling. Surprise mechanics. Totally different.
Loot boxes
- Monsters drop free loot boxes. The key costs gems.
- Opening plays a spinning reel that stops – purely by coincidence – right before something legendary.
- Five rarities with legally required odds in the tooltip. Odds may vary™.
- A pity system guarantees a legendary after enough boxes. Everyone on the server gets told when you hit one.
All or Nothing
- A slot machine block: stake your items, pull the lever, double them – or lose everything.
- Shown win chance: 50 %. Real win chance: let's not talk about it.
Mob bets
- Two mobs fight, rendered live in the betting screen. You bet coins on your favorite.
- The fight is properly supervised™. A draw goes to the house. Interfering earns you a fake ban.
The Engagement Optimizer
- Beginner's luck for your first games, then declining odds the longer you play.
- A consolation win when you're about to quit, and a comeback after a break.
- Fully documented, because we're honest. Fair mode is one switch in the config.
Battle pass, gems and collection
- A weekly battle pass with 30 tiers. XP comes from playing – and mostly from spending money.
- The free track is thin, the premium track costs gems. Unclaimed rewards expire at the end of the season.
- Gems come in deliberately odd bundles (80 / 500 / 1,200) so there is always something left over.
- A collection book tracks every item you ever won, with milestone rewards and plenty of duplicates.

Ads, death and justice
Ads everywhere
- Unskippable ad spots after every respawn and after enough play time. "Skip" is a premium feature.
- Chat spam with limited offers that are never really limited.
- While you sleep, a wandering trader flies across your screen in an island-style speech bubble, trying to sell you coarse dirt for only 150 coins. Sleeping now takes 30 seconds. For reasons.
- The Ad-Free Pass makes it all go away – for three days.
Death
- No death screen. Instead, a roast tailored to how you died – "A zombie? Really?" or "Gravity has always been against you."
- An itemized hospital bill with ambulance parking fee, pity surcharge and form 27b/6.
- Then your respawn – presented by our advertising partner.
Anti-cheat Pay2Guard™
- Full paid chests can't be broken, blown up or emptied by hoppers or item pipes from other mods.
- Try it anyway and you'll receive a very official-looking fake ban with a case number, a countdown and a processing fee for early release. Appeals are reviewed and rejected instantly.
- Villagers sometimes refuse to trade with "low earners".
Everything in one place
Press E and click the P2C button in your inventory. The Pay2Craft menu opens the shop, battle pass, loot boxes, All or Nothing, mob bets, your collection and your account & taxes – each with its own custom screen. Prefer commands? Everything is also available under /p2c.
Configuration and multiplayer
- Every price, tax rate, license, ad interval, sleep duration and odd is configurable in
config/pay2craft.json. - Fair mode turns off the rigged odds of the Engagement Optimizer.
- Creative mode players pay nothing. We're not monsters.
- The server owns all prices, accounts and decisions; every connecting player needs the mod.
- Full English and German translations.
Supported release target:
- Minecraft 26.3: Fabric (requires Fabric API)
The promise
Pay2Craft is satire. No real money is involved, no payment is ever requested and no real person was charged in the making of this mod. Fritze is a fictional tax auditor – any resemblance to people who enjoy taxes is purely satirical.
