Nightshift

Nightshift lets a few basic survival systems keep moving while players sleep, mainly so furnaces, campfires, crops, and similar utility progress do not feel completely frozen overnight.

Nightshift lets a few systems move forward during sleep instead of freezing completely:

  • furnaces
  • smokers
  • blast furnaces
  • campfire cooking
  • partial crop growth
  • a little animal breeding cooldown recovery

Things still rough right now:

  • some modded machines do not respond correctly
  • multiplayer balancing still needs work
  • crop acceleration may feel too aggressive on some servers
  • very large farms can progress faster than expected
  • edge cases probably still exist
