Mystic Tomes

Adds the Mystic Tome, which can be used to increase enchantment levels on items, allowing you to even surpass the normal level limits.

This mod only adds 1 new item: the Mystic Tome. Inspired by Quark's Ancient Tomes, they can be used to upgrade enchantments on items and even push them past their limits.

Obtaining:

Loot:

Mystic Tomes can be found in various loot chests around all 3 dimensions. Certain chests will contain Tomes that thematically fit the area, while others just pick a random enchantment.

Ancient City - 25% chance for a Swift Sneak Tome

Bastion - 25% chance for a Soul Speed Tome

Buried Treasure - random Tome

Desert Pyramid - 25% chance for a random Tome

Dungeon - 25% chance for a random Tome

End City - random Tome

Jungle Temple - 25% chance for a random Tome

Mansion - 50% chance for a random Tome

Mineshaft - 25% chance for a random Tome

Outpost - 25% chance for a Piercing, Power, Punch, or Projectile Projection Tome

Shipwreck - 25% chance for a random Tome

Stronghold - 25% chance for a random Tome

Trial Vault - 25% chance for a random Tome

Ominous Trial Vault - random Tome (works a little differently from the other ones. Other random tomes do not include treasure enchants, this one includes every enchant minus Swift Sneak and Soul Speed)

Underwater Ruin - 25% chance for a Respiration, Luck of the Sea, Lure, Loyality, Riptide, or Impaling Tome

Villagers:

Librarians at max level can have 0-2 Mystic Tome trades. They will sell Tomes in all the different Enchantment variants they can normally sell. To get a Mystic Tome, you will need a max level Enchanted Book plus anywhere between 35-60 emeralds.

Wandering Traders:

Wandering Traders can sell Wildcard Tomes for a whole stack of Emeralds. The can also be configured to sell a set amount of Mystic Tomes, however by default this is set to 0.

Configuration:

This mod is HEAVILY configurable. From anvil combining costs to methods of obtaining, nearly every aspect about these things can be modified.

Here's a full list of things you can modify.

Tome + Tome Combination:

Whether or not Tomes can be combined together in an anvil (default true)
How many levels it costs to do so (default 5 per enchantment)
Whether or not adding more Tomes to the resulting Tome will be more expensive (IE: increasing its repair cost) (default true)

Tome + Item Combination:

How much it should cost to upgrade an enchantment with a Tome (default 5 levels)
How much it should cost to limit break an enchantment (upgrade it past its vanilla limit) (default 20 levels)
How many times a Tome can upgrade an enchantment past its limit (for example, setting this to 2 would allow you to get Fortune 5, even though the vanilla max is 3) (default is 1 level)
Whether or not adding more Tomes to the item in question will be more expensive (IE: increasing its repair cost) (default false)

Miscellaneous:

Whether or not "Wildcard Tomes" should be enabled. These allow you to upgrade all applicable enchantments on an item when combined with it in an anvil (default true)
Whether or not the mod should inject Tomes into various loot chests. This is ultimately controlled through a builtin datapack the mod provides, which can be enabled or disabled at will on world creation. This config option serves as the default state the datapack should be in (default true)
Whether or not Librarian Villagers can sell Tomes when at max level (default true)
How many Tome trades a Wandering Trader can spawn with. These do not have a chance to replace any existing trades the Wandering Trader has, rather they will be tacked onto the end of its normal trade list. (default is 0)
Whether or not Wandering Traders should sell "Wildcard Tomes" in their rare item trade list. Do note that if "Wildcard Tomes" are turned off, this config option has zero effect. (default true)
