ME Cross Cable

An Applied Energistics 2 addon that routes three independent ME connections through a single block. Includes standard, smart and dense smart variants.

Features

• Three separate AE2 routes, each connecting two configurable faces. Right-click the block to change face pairings, including corner connections.
• Standard and smart variants carry the native 8 channels per route; dense smart carries 32 per route under standard AE2 settings. AE2 channel multipliers and unlimited-channel settings remain authoritative.
• Smart variants show channel use. Each connected socket has a one-pixel light ring matching the adjacent cable color; disconnected sockets stay dark.
• Compact white housing with original 16x16 textures. Route configuration and dye colors persist when saved or normally picked up.
• Uses public AE2 grid APIs. No Mixin, independent item-transfer engine, continuous block ticker or world scanning.

The routes are bidirectional ME connections, not one-way item input/output ports. They do not merge separate networks internally or share their inventories/power. External wiring can still connect those networks, just as in normal AE2. Visual cable-color inheritance does not automatically recolor grid nodes.

Installation

Minecraft Forge 1.20.1 / Java 17 / AE2 15.4.10 or newer. Install the same JAR on client and server. Allowing a newer AE2 version does not guarantee compatibility with every future release. NeoForge is not included in this initial version.

Craft each variant from three matching AE2 cables and one quartz glass. A dedicated creative tab is included.

Alpha status

Build, five unit tests, eight real AE2 GameTests, and an isolated client rendering/routing check were completed against AE2 15.4.11. Broader modpack compatibility and production-server acceptance remain unverified.

1ブロック内で3本のME回線を独立して通すAE2アドオンです。通常・スマート・高密度スマートに対応し、右クリックで各回線につなぐ2面を変更できます。接続口の1px幅のリングは、実際につながっているケーブルの色で発光します。

標準設定では各回線8チャンネル、高密度は32チャンネルです。AE2側の倍率設定・無制限設定を維持します。在庫や電力を異なる回線へ共有する機能や、搬入専用・搬出専用にする機能ではありません。

Forge 1.20.1 / Java 17。AE2 15.4.10以上が必要です。サーバーとクライアントの両方へ同じJARを導入してください。初期版はAlphaで、将来の全AE2版やすべてのMOD構成との互換性は未保証です。
