Maror

Maror: satirical Forge 1.20.1 mod—Jewish food, Tel Aviv–inspired dimension, multi-phase boss. Crops, dishes, wearables, arena & city gen. Thanks to Lost Cities & Farmer’s Delight–family mods (full credits in description).

Maror (Forge 1.20.1)

A satirical adventure/content mod built around Jewish food, a custom dimension, and an exaggerated multi-phase boss fight. It is meant as absurdist Minecraft comedy and game content — not as real-world political advocacy.

─── Core loop ───
• Grow Horseradish and craft Maror (horseradish + beetroot).
• Eating Maror grants a strong beneficial effect and a “bitter aftertaste” debuff. Handle the aftertaste properly, or you may be sent to the Tel Aviv dimension.
• Explore a dedicated dimension with city-style generation, villagers, patrols, rails, and a large boss arena structure (Knesset-inspired).
• Defeat the multi-phase boss to open a Menorah-linked return path to the Overworld. Lighting all seven Menorah flames can bring the fight back under specific rules.

─── Boss fight ───
• Multi-phase encounter with changing movement, attacks, and music per phase.
• Phase transitions include a long charged “final form” sequence with its own theme.
• Path-based attacks (not pure full-arena spam): dodge or stay out of the attack line.
• Multiplayer-aware targeting: players in an attack’s path can be hit; others are safer if they move.
• Boss music is synced for players in range (late arrivals aim for the current place in the track).

─── Items & progression ───
• Jewish-inspired foods (many recipes use items from food mods listed below).
• Torah Tome with selectable blessings for combat utility.
• Yarmulke (helmet): changes how certain dimension enemies treat you.
• Prime Minister’s Suit: full armor set with strong stats and a formal look.
• Pager: points toward the arena structure in the dimension.
• Iron Dome–themed blocks/items tied to dimension defense toys.
• Optional trains/monorail content on rails in the dimension.

─── World & tech notes ───
• Custom dimension (maror:tel_aviv). City generation is intended for that dimension, not as a normal Overworld city takeover.
• Designed for singleplayer and dedicated servers (same jar on client and server).
• Expect some rough edges in worldgen, balance, and visuals — feedback welcome.

If a hard dependency is listed in this mod’s mods.toml, install that mod as well (or use a build that already bundles what you need). When in doubt, check the file’s dependency list in-game or in mods.toml.

─── Content warning ───
This mod uses exaggerated, satirical depictions of real-world places, institutions, and public figures in a cartoon Minecraft context. If that humor isn’t for you, this isn’t the mod. Everything here is fictional game content.
