IDEAS

IDEAS brings building families, mushroom processing, custom environments, redstone components, and practical survival tools into one Fabric mod.

What it adds

• Building options including slabs, stairs, vertical slabs, doors, trapdoors, and architectural pieces.
• Expanded woodwork, storage, ladders, bookshelves, and woodcutting.
• Custom mushroom models, dried mushroom items, powders, infusions, lighting, and brewing content.
• Custom biomes, trees, and environments, including the Chromatic Realm, Aurora, and Somnara.
• Redstone logic, thresholds, delays, and workshop components.
• Inventory, planting, harvesting, navigation, and building conveniences.

Required game version

This beta targets Minecraft 26.3-snapshot-6, Fabric Loader 0.19.3 or later, and Java 25 or later. It is not a build for stable Minecraft 26.3, 26.2, Forge, or NeoForge.

Install compatible versions of Fabric API (0.156.1+26.3 or later) and Mo Glass separately. A port of MoreLadders is embedded in IDEAS; do not install a second standalone copy alongside this build.

The consolidated download reports version 0.0.1.4.8-snapshot6-workshop-merged.1. IDEAS Workshop now includes the former Workshop Collection add-ons in one JAR on this single project. Do not install separate Trailcraft, Glassworks, or Farmhand JARs alongside it.

Included workshop modules

• Trailcraft: craftable per-item waypoint markers for returning to discovered places, without teleportation.
• Glassworks: intact glass recovery using the glass cutter, plus lossy pane recycling through the pane press.
• Farmhand: row planting that consumes real planting items from the offhand.

The modules retain their existing IDs and MIT licenses. The full corresponding source, including module sources and the MoreLadders port source package, is embedded in the JAR.

This September 18 consolidation changes packaging, not gameplay code or artwork. The combined nested-JAR packaging has not received a new launch test.

Beta status

Checks performed for the September 2026 handoff include an isolated dedicated-server regression run, additional redstone timing checks, fresh-world generation, and a client launch with an in-game visual review. These are limited checks, not a guarantee that every feature or multiplayer configuration is bug-free.

Known areas for improvement include similar-looking redstone tier textures, weak differentiation between some Aurora/Somnara materials, and flat shading on some mushroom caps. Long-session performance and comprehensive save/restart persistence testing are not complete. Back up existing worlds before using this snapshot build.

Credits and component licenses

Original IDEAS work is credited to Max and its contributors. Earthstar and dried Earthstar artwork includes work by Max and mum, used with permission. Current original carved-wood artwork is retained.

IDEAS also includes or adapts components from MoreLadders by nieboczek, More Barrel Variants, More Chiseled Bookshelf Variants, More Bookshelf Variants, and More Chest Variants by their respective contributors including pnk2u and LieOnLion, More Block Styles by StarN1ght and ZanderNotch, Nemo's Woodcutter by NemoNotFound, and More Dyes by Christian Prestridge.

These components retain their respective license terms and attribution; the entire distribution is not offered as CC0-only. Fabric API and Mo Glass remain separately credited dependencies.
