Give your storage room a copper courier
Copper Courier Golems carry mixed loot from a Copper Dispatch Crate into barrels, chests, trapped chests, shulker boxes, chiseled bookshelves, and compatible Fabric item-storage containers.
Simple sorting
Attach an item frame or glow frame to an empty destination, or seed it with one example item. Frame filters take priority over existing-item matches. Sword and tool categories work across materials; potions support category matching. Enchantments, names, damage, and other item components stay intact.
Couriers reach containers within 2.5 horizontal and 3.5 vertical blocks, including three-high barrel walls. Hold a Manifest Wand to view routes for the current item, matching containers, home position, and the last task.
Start in survival
- Obtain copper to unlock recipes. Craft a Manifest Wand from stick, copper ingot, and amethyst. Craft a Dispatch Crate from a barrel, four copper ingots, and redstone.
- Place the crate and prepare destinations with example items or item-frame filters.
- Put a carved pumpkin or jack o'lantern on copper or cut copper, then use the wand on the pumpkin. Both blocks become your courier.
- To bind manually, sneak-use the wand on a dispatch crate, then use it on your courier. Add mixed loot to the crate and leave walkable floor to storage.
Care and recovery
Honeycomb permanently prevents further oxidation. An axe removes one oxidation stage and revives a statue; copper ingots heal the courier. Sneak-use an axe as owner to dismantle it. Its full cargo drops separately, while a reusable core preserves custom name and wax status.
Unmatched items return to dispatch or go to overflow storage marked with a cobweb or barrier in a frame. Full or unavailable storage leaves cargo safely with the courier. Shulker nesting is blocked. No combat automation, cross-dimensional courier system, or chunk-loading tickets.
Installation
Minecraft Java 1.21.1, Fabric Loader 0.16.14+, Fabric API 0.116.6+1.21.1 (or a compatible later 1.21.1 build), Java 21+. Install this mod and Fabric API on both client and server. No Copper Age backport required. This download targets Fabric.
Version 1.0.0 verification
All 14 automated Minecraft world tests passed against the packaged JAR, covering sorting, raised storage, item components, shulker safety, statue revival, death/NBT recovery, ownership, summoning, and full-container handling.
Verification limits: standard Gradle build was blocked by local socket restrictions; normal dedicated-server startup stopped at the Minecraft EULA gate; graphical client gameplay and rendering remain unverified. Third-party storage compatibility depends on correct Fabric storage-provider behavior and has not been exhaustively tested.
