Angler’s Tackle adds timed fishing rewards, portable supply storage, maritime treasure and boat trawling while keeping the vanilla fishing rod and its original loot pipeline.

Time your catch

When a fish bites, a moving tension marker appears in your action bar. Reel near the central star for a perfect catch: double fish, 15 bonus XP and an increased chance of finding a Barnacle Treasure Crate.

Miss the timing window? Its 2.5-second timeout automatically retrieves a standard catch. The challenge can also be disabled in configuration.

Pack your tacklebox

Carry eighteen filtered slots of fishing supplies, with automatic fish collection and inventory right-click insertion.

• Glow Bait: Speeds up bites and offers bonus fish at night or below Y55.
• Golden Bait: Raises the perfect-catch treasure crate chance from 40% to 75%.
• Magnetic Salvage Hook: Adds raw mineral salvage alongside your catch.

Take fishing out to sea

Attach a Trawler Net to a vanilla boat or chest boat. Every 36 horizontal blocks traveled on water produces fish, salvage or a treasure crate.

Chest boats store catches directly. Ordinary boats route suitable catches into a carried tacklebox, then your inventory. Nets retain their remaining durability when detached or recovered from a destroyed boat.

Open Barnacle Treasure Crates in your hand for multiple salvage and treasure rewards, or place them as decorative sea crates.

Requirements: Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.1, Fabric, Java 21 and Fabric API. Install on both the client and server. Custom fishing rods must use the vanilla bobber retrieval pipeline.
