GAROS UI - Resource Pack Manager
Managing two or three resource packs is simple. Managing dozens of texture packs, model packs, animation add-ons, compatibility patches, and mod-provided resources is not.
GAROS UI - Resource Pack Manager rebuilds Minecraft's resource pack screen into a compact, organized manager designed for large pack collections. It keeps Minecraft's familiar two-column workflow while making packs much easier to find, inspect, order, enable, disable, and safely remove.
Organized Pack Library
- Separates user resource packs from mod-provided packs.
- Sorts user packs into collapsible categories such as Textures, Models, Animations, Entities, Environment, Particles, View, UI, Fonts, Music, Sound Effects, Ambience, Shaders, Languages, and Patches.
- Groups mod-provided packs by the mod that supplies them.
- Starts sections collapsed to keep large collections readable.
- Uses compact rows and smaller thumbnails so more packs fit on screen.
- Displays a clear category tag on every pack without replacing the pack author's description.
- Uses one search field to filter both the available library and active load order.
Drag-and-Drop Load Order
The vanilla arrow controls are replaced with direct drag-and-drop management.
- Drag an available pack into the active column to enable it.
- Drag an active pack to a new position to change its priority.
- Drag an active pack back to the library to disable it.
- See the complete pack row while dragging and a clear insertion line at its destination.
- Active load-order numbers follow Minecraft's bottom-to-top priority system.
Fast Bulk Actions
Checkboxes make it possible to manage several packs at once without repeating the same action for every entry.
- Select several available packs and enable them together.
- Available selections are numbered in the order they are checked.
- The numbered batch is inserted above the existing active stack while preserving Minecraft's bottom-to-top load order.
- Select multiple active packs and remove them from the load order together.
- Clear either selection without affecting enabled packs.
- Required and non-removable packs do not show unnecessary checkboxes.
Clearer Pack Information
- Cleans archive-style filenames into readable display names.
- Keeps the original filename or pack ID available in hover details.
- Preserves descriptions supplied by pack authors.
- Scrolls long text within its row so important information is still readable.
- Shows the detected category and source mod where applicable.
Duplicate Detection
Large collections often accumulate duplicate downloads or several versions of the same pack. The manager identifies:
- Exact duplicates with identical file contents.
- Possible duplicate versions whose normalized project names match.
Warnings include the original filenames and detected versions. Nothing is deleted automatically, so the final choice always remains yours.
Safe Pack Deletion
User-installed ZIP packs can be removed without leaving Minecraft:
- Right-click a removable pack.
- Choose Delete Pack from the small context menu.
- Confirm the permanent deletion in a separate warning screen.
Built-in, required, and mod-provided packs cannot be deleted through this menu.
What This Mod Does Not Do
- It does not download resource packs.
- It does not modify the contents of your packs.
- It does not remove duplicates automatically.
- It does not replace Minecraft's incompatible-pack confirmation.
