Description
The night comes alive. When the sun goes down, fireflies come out over swamps, meadows and forests, glow worms light up the ceilings of dark caves, and now and then a will-o'-wisp drifts between the trees.
- Fireflies blink in slow loops, low over the grass and the water. More in swamps and flower meadows, pink in cherry groves, amber in jungles. Fewer in the rain, none in the cold or the desert.
- Glow worms hang from cave ceilings where no daylight reaches, breathing softly. A lush cave turns into a starry sky.
- Will-o'-wisps are rare: blue lights in dark forests and swamps, cyan in the Soul Sand Valley. Walk up to one and it slips away.
- Modded biomes work too: a biome called marsh, bayou, bog or fen gets its fireflies (tested with Biomes O' Plenty).
- Light: only small particles close to you, and they fade out before they reach your face.
