What's new
Smoother painting: only the parts of a mob's paint that changed are redrawn, which helps most while you paint continuously or when mods like FF Entity Dirt keep updating paint.
Fixed a slow memory build-up over long play sessions, especially after resource reloads or with many mobs coming and going.
Mobs from GeckoLib mods that have no paint no longer cost extra frame time.
Works with 0.9.4 servers and clients.
Many more blend modes for layers. The layer manager's Blend button now cycles through 22 modes, including darken, lighten, difference, soft light, hue, color and luminosity. Color is great for recoloring a mob without losing its shading. Hold Shift while clicking Blend to go backwards.
Two layer modes that cut paint away instead of coloring it: erase removes whatever is beneath wherever the layer has paint, and mask keeps only what is beneath the paint. On many mobs they show as holes in the mob's own texture.
The
/entitypaint fillcommand accepts more ways to apply a color, such asatop(recolor existing paint only),behind, multiply, dodge, burnandinvert.Everyone on a server needs 0.9.4; it does not connect with 0.9.0 to 0.9.3.
