Description
Faerithia
A whole new fantasy dimension, forever at dusk.
Somewhere in the Overworld stands a ruined shrine with an empty frame of runestone. Light it with a Fae Spark, step through, and you arrive in Faerithia: a world of glowing forests, crystal highlands and aurora skies, ruled by a queen who stopped the sun.
Getting there
- Find a Rift Shrine in Overworld forests, plains, meadows or taiga.
- Craft a Fae Spark (glowstone dust, amethyst shards and an ender pearl) or find one in the shrine chest.
- Use the spark on the Runestone Brick frame to open the Rift Gate.
The Overworld is otherwise untouched. No Faerithia creature spawns there, and none can follow you home.
What is inside
- 9 biomes: Whispering Glade, Sunpetal Meadows, Amethyst Highlands, Moonlit Marsh, Frostveil Tundra, Ember Wastes, Starfall Desert, Glimmercap Hollow and Tidehaven Shores. Each has its own colors, particles, fog and music.
- 34 creatures: tameable Honey Foxes, Frost Wolves and Drake Hatchlings, a rideable Meadow Unicorn, Mushroom Folk and Merfolk traders, and plenty of things that want you dead.
- Champions: rare elite versions of hostile creatures with special powers such as Swift, Vampiric or Mirrored, and better loot.
- 6 bosses: the Ancient Treant, Crystal Colossus, Bog Hag Matriarch, Ember Drake, Leviathan and the Fae Queen. Each has several phases, attacks that warn before they strike, and a unique reward.
- 19 structures: Elven Ruins, Wishing Wells, a Giant Treehouse, Dwarven Forge Halls, a Mage Tower, the Dragon Spine Fortress, the Fae Court Castle and more.
- Waygates: attune to Waygate stones across the dimension and fast travel between them.
- Treasure maps: found in chests, dropped by Champions, or bought from traders.
- Fae Crystal gear: tools and armor a step above diamond.
- The Faerithia Codex: an in-game guidebook that fills itself in as you explore.
- 83 advancements, including a full Bestiary.
