What's new
Everything RGB Profiles 0.1.1 for Minecraft 26.3 (Fabric)
The first release for Minecraft 26.3. Everything the mod does on other versions is here, plus the parts that only make sense on 26.3.
Only on 26.3
- Dappled Forest. 26.3's autumn biome gets its own take on the forest scene: light coming down between the poplars in red, orange and yellow, a little stretched because poplars are tall and narrow, and more of the floor lit because the trees are further apart.
- Autumn title screen, the new default menu theme: red and orange poplar leaves drifting down the board. It's the default because 26.3's own title panorama is the dappled forest, so the keyboard matches the screen it sits under. The previous themes are still there:
sulfur(26.2's panorama),vanilla(sky over grass) andmineshaft. Pick one withstyleunder[menuTheme], and recolour the leaves withautumnLeafColorandautumnAccentColor. - Sulfur Caves get their own scene: an acid pool bubbling and venting under a spiked ceiling.
Also new in 0.1.1
What you need
- Fabric API
- Fabric Loader 0.19.5 or newer
- Client-side only. Nothing goes on the server, so it works on any server, vanilla or modded.
- The config is
config/everythingrgbprofiles-common.toml, the same file the NeoForge version writes, so a config from there carries straight over.
New lighting support: ASUS and MSI
- ASUS Aura Sync, through Armoury Crate. Nothing extra to install: if Armoury Crate is on your PC, so is the SDK the mod needs. ASUS keyboards report where their keys are, so they get every pattern key by key. Other ASUS devices (strips, fans, motherboards) are laid out from the size they report, which hasn't been checked against real hardware yet.
- MSI Mystic Light. This one needs MSI's Mystic Light SDK, which MSI hands out and we're not allowed to bundle. If the mod finds MSI hardware without the SDK, it tells you once in chat with MSI's download link (and a "Don't ask again" button).
/rgbprofiles msishows the same steps any time. Mystic Light lights whole zones, not individual keys, and only MSI's own SDK file is accepted. - Leave
lightingBackendonautoto pick them up, or set it toauraormsi. - The only keyboard this project has been tested on is a Corsair K70 RGB RAPIDFIRE. ASUS and MSI support is new and experimental. If it misbehaves, please open an issue and attach the file from
/rgbprofiles report.
Pale Garden
- The Pale Garden has its own scene now instead of a plain shimmer: pale oaks, hanging moss swaying under the canopy, and eyeblossoms on the floor. When night falls they open one after another in a ripple of orange, the way the real ones do, and close again at dawn.
- Prefer creepy? Set the biome's
"pattern"tocreakinginbiome_profiles.jsonfor the other scene: nothing but rolling grey fog, and a pair of orange eyes that keeps turning up a little closer each time.
Hidden patterns
Four patterns no default profile uses, so you only get them if you ask. Type a name in as a biome's "pattern" in config/everythingrgbprofiles/biome_profiles.json, or as style under [menuTheme] in the config to put it on the title screen.
rainbow-wave: the whole colour wheel scrolling across the board. Yes, the one every RGB keyboard does out of the box. Here it is anyway. It ignores the biome's colours, because a rainbow with a base colour is just a worse rainbow.trans-flag,lesbian-flag,bi-flag: the flag in stripes across the board, with a slow ripple running through it like it's catching a breeze. The stripes follow your keyboard's rows, so the trans flag stays symmetric.
Rain
- Rain falls as bright streaks with short tails, top row to bottom in about half a second. Tune it with
rainFallMillis(default 550; lower is a harder downpour).
Fixed
- Profiles on Turkish-language systems. Pattern and preset names were matched using your system language. In Turkish, "SHIMMER" lowercases to "shımmer" (dotless ı), which matches nothing, so bundled biome and dimension profiles quietly fell back to defaults. One dimension's "ring" effect, for example, turned into the default spiral. Names now match the same way on every system.
- Elder Guardian false curses. The "you've been cursed" flash could fire when no new curse had landed, for example swimming back into range with Mining Fatigue still left over from before. It now only fires when a new curse actually lands.
Privacy and safety
- SteelSeries GG: lighting is only ever sent to an address on your own computer. GG's connection file is checked, and anything that isn't a local address is ignored.
- Diagnostics (the log,
/rgbprofiles statusand/rgbprofiles report) now strip your username out of file paths and hide custom OpenRGB addresses, so a report is safe to share.
Known issue (Fabric)
- Fabric has no toast event. If you use a mod that hides toasts, it may also hide the advancement flash, depending on load order. NeoForge isn't affected.
