What if your past actions could fight beside you?
Echo Relics is a combat and exploration mod built around recorded space. Your attacks
and movements can remain in the world, then return later as echoes you can plan around.
Discover the Grand Echo Archive, learn its relics, and face the keeper of its memories.
Echo Blade — Leave a slash behind
The Echo Blade records the exact position and angle of your swing. After a warning, the
slash returns through that same space—even if you have moved, turned away, or changed
targets.
The echo remembers where you attacked, not who you attacked. Prepare a slash before
an enemy arrives, lure a different creature into its path, or aim upward and downward to
cover unusual angles.

- A fully charged hit or empty-space swing can create an echo.
- Reverberation I–III adds more returns, up to four total echo slashes.
- Every successive slash has its own increasingly intense visual and sound treatment.
- Accelerando I–III shortens the interval between echoes.
Echo Sigil — Cooperate with your past
Hold use to record up to three seconds of movement, then release to save it. Tap use and,
after a short delay, a translucent echo wearing your skin retraces that route.
Your past self can activate Echo Plates while you stand elsewhere, and it can lightly draw
the attention of nearby hostile mobs. Use the Sigil directly on an archive device to invoke
Archive Sense, revealing its linked inputs and whether they are active.

Grand Echo Archive — Learn the relics, then prove it
Grand Echo Archives generate naturally in plains, sunflower plains, and savannas. Each
archive is a complete challenge route built around the mod's central rule: control the
space now, then let the past act later.
Activate Resonance Targets with delayed slashes, cooperate with an Echo Avatar to hold two
plates, and turn prepared attacks against the archive's guards. The chambers teach each
mechanic before combining them in the final encounter.

The Archivist — A duel against recorded space
The Archivist uses the same rules against you. Its melee attacks leave hostile red-orange
echoes that return to the space where they were recorded, forcing you to read warnings and
move deliberately.
Below half health, the Archivist seals itself behind a resonant shield. Break it by timing
your own echoes through both arena targets, then claim the Awakened Echo Blade and a
dedicated challenge advancement.

ModJam 2026
Echo Relics was created for the Echoes of the Past: Minecraft ModJam 2026.
Rather than treating the theme only as an ancient visual style, the mod turns the past into an active gameplay system: previous actions remain in the world and affect the present.
Modpacks
Feel free to include Echo Relics in modpacks.
