Eat it—or make your enemies eat it.
Delightful Food Fight is an unofficial combat add-on for Farmer’s Delight that turns food into a tactical resource.
Every meal now presents a choice:
- Eat it to restore hunger or gain a combat food bonus.
- Throw it for a quick, improvised attack.
- Weaponize it with a Slingshot, Food Cannon, or Skillet.
That expensive meal could make you stronger—but it might also be exactly the shell you need to finish the fight.
144 Foods, 144 Combat Profiles
The mod gives individual combat profiles to:
- 51 Minecraft foods and cooking ingredients
- 93 Farmer’s Delight foods, ingredients, drinks, and feasts
Their power is based on crafting cost, rarity, shape, and culinary character—not hunger value alone.
Examples:
- Tomatoes splatter enemies and obscure their vision.
- Onions weaken targets with tears.
- Cabbages roll, bounce, and deliver heavy knockback.
- Rice creates slowing patches on the ground.
- Pasta entangles enemies.
- Soup spreads scalding puddles.
- Cakes and expensive meals can become powerful support shells.
- Golden foods provide rare battlefield effects—but firing one means giving up the meal.
Throw
Hold a supported food and sneak-right-click to throw it directly.
Direct throws are cheap, quick, and intentionally weaker than weapon fire. Normal right-click behavior is preserved, so food can still be eaten, crops can still be planted, and placeable meals still work normally.
Farmer’s Slingshot
The Farmer’s Slingshot turns small ingredients into fast, accurate projectiles.
- Five internal ammunition slots
- Charge-based range, damage, and effect duration
- Offhand and selectable ammunition
- Food-specific effects, ricochets, piercing, and knockback

Food Cannon
The Food Cannon weaponizes every supported food and recipe.
- Nine internal ammunition slots
- Large-impact culinary shells
- Splash damage, support effects, and temporary food puddles
- No terrain destruction or fire griefing
- Heavy recoil and higher ammunition cost
Load soups, cakes, feasts, meat, vegetables, or even an enchanted golden apple—if you can afford to waste it.
Skillet Combat
Farmer’s Delight’s Skillet can knock airborne food back at its attacker.
Time a perfect guard to return dangerous Food Cannon shells, or heat the Skillet with Fire Aspect or a Stove to cook compatible ingredients while they are still flying.
Yes, you can turn a raw potato into a baked projectile in mid-air.
Controls
- Sneak + Right Click with food: Direct throw
- Hold Right Click with Slingshot or Food Cannon: Charge a shot
- G: Open the held weapon’s ammunition storage
- Shift + G: Select the next loaded ammunition type
- Attack a food projectile with a Skillet: Reflect it
- Right Click with a Skillet: Perfect Guard
- Use a Skillet on a Stove: Heat it for five seconds
Data Pack Support
Food combat profiles are data-driven. Data packs and other mods can add or override food ammunition without registering a new projectile type.
Unknown modded foods receive a safe generic throwing and Food Cannon profile.
