Create: Sit on Seats lets furniture from any mod function as seats on Create contraptions and trains.
It functions as a compatibility layer for several mod, with extendable configuration for more.
#create_sit_on_seats:seats datapack tagThe default configuration is tailored towards Homestead and includes blocks from the following mods.
There are several compatibility patches for problems found when using some furniture blocks.
Cluttered
Some furniture models extend beyond their single anchor block. The passenger position is adjusted from the block’s shape so passengers sit nearer the visual center of the furniture.
Furniture seat height
Where known, the mod uses furniture-specific seat heights. For other configured furniture, it estimates the sitting surface from the block’s voxel geometry rather than using the top of a tall chair back.
Two-block chairs
Farm & Charm and Beachparty chairs can remove their partner half when Create replaces blocks during assembly. During contraption capture, those removal callbacks are temporarily suppressed so both halves remain available to Create. Only the lower half is registered as the seat.
Handcrafted couches
Handcrafted couches can drop their attached cushion when Create captures them. That drop is suppressed during assembly to prevent duplicate or unintended item drops. Normal player breaking retains the original behavior.
