ButcherCraft

Build, manage, and grow your own professional meat processing operation in Minecraft.

ButcherCraft is an industrial meat processing and business simulation mod for NeoForge 1.21.1. Instead of simply crafting food, you'll fabricate carcasses into retail cuts, process trim into ground products, manage inventory, and eventually operate a complete butcher shop.

Every processing step is designed around real meat fabrication practices used by commercial processors and retail butcher shops.

Current Features

Industrial Processing Framework

  • Fully data-driven processing engine
  • Generic workstation framework for future machines
  • Multi-output processing operations
  • Data-driven product definitions and fabrication chains

Industrial Bandsaw

  • First production workstation
  • Two-block industrial machine
  • Multi-output fabrication support
  • Produces multiple cuts from a single processing operation

Meat Grinder

  • Dedicated grinding workstation
  • Supports multiple species through data-driven definitions
  • Current support includes:
    • Beef
    • Pork
    • Bison

Product System

  • Rich product metadata
  • Data-driven item mappings
  • Extensible processing definitions
  • Built for future expansion

Authentic Butcher Terminology

ButcherCraft uses authentic Midwestern butcher terminology whenever multiple accepted names exist.

Examples include:

  • Kansas City Steak
  • Packer Brisket
  • Picanha
  • Prime Rib

Designed Around Real Meat Processing

Unlike most Minecraft farming mods, ButcherCraft focuses on how meat is actually processed.

Future fabrication choices will be based on real butcher shop decisions, where the same primal can be cut in multiple ways depending on inventory, customer demand, and profitability.

The goal isn't simply to maximize yield—it's to make the right fabrication decisions.

Planned Features

  • Butcher's Table (Deboning & Fabrication)
  • Blade Tenderizer
  • Patty Former
  • Packaging
  • Refrigeration
  • Retail Display Cases
  • Employee Automation
  • Customer Demand

  • MCDA Inspection System
  • Complete Processing Plant Simulation

Built for Expansion

The entire processing framework is data-driven, allowing new species, products, workstations, and fabrication methods to be added without rewriting the core engine.

Future support is planned for:

  • Beef
  • Pork
  • Bison
  • Lamb
  • Venison
  • Poultry
  • And more.
