Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Ascending Fishers Core 0.5.8
Multiplayer Islands & Ironjaw Rebalance
Core 0.5.8 improves multiplayer island joining and significantly rebalances Ironjaw, the first Ascending Fishers boss.
Multiplayer Island Joining
/startangler join
Added support for:
/startangler join
This joins the newest/highest-numbered existing starting platform.
For example, if Platform #12 is currently the newest platform, /startangler join assigns and sends the player to Platform #12.
/startangler join <player>
Players can now join the assigned island of another online player.
Example:
/startangler join Nick
The selected island becomes the joining player's current assigned island.
/home island
will then return that player to the shared island.
Additional StartAngler Improvements
- Automatic first-time island assignments continue to work normally.
- Updated multiplayer help/lobby information.
- Improved explanations for joining the newest island, joining another player, and returning home.
- Fixed NeoForge command registration so the
/startanglercommand tree loads reliably.
Ironjaw Rebalance
Ironjaw has been significantly retuned to better match his position as the first major boss.
Major Fix
Ironjaw is based on Minecraft's Elder Guardian entity and was still inheriting vanilla Guardian attack AI.
This meant the vanilla Elder Guardian attack cycle could run alongside Ironjaw's custom charge, tail slam, and water burst attacks.
The inherited Guardian attack goals have now been disabled.
Ironjaw now uses only his intended custom Ascending Fishers boss combat system.
New Ironjaw Stats
- Health: 200
- Armor: 5
- Armor Toughness: 0
- Base Attack Damage: 5
- Knockback Resistance: 0.45
- Movement Speed: 0.32
Attack Rebalance
Charge:
- Normal Damage: 3.5
- Enraged Damage: 5
- Longer cooldown between charges
Tail Slam:
- Normal Damage: 2.5
- Enraged Damage: 4
- Reduced damage and increased recovery time
Water Burst:
- Normal Damage: 2.5
- Enraged Damage: 3.5
- Longer cooldown between bursts
Enrage Changes
- Ironjaw now enrages at 30% health instead of much earlier in the fight.
- Enrage no longer causes attack cooldowns to tick down at double speed.
Ironjaw still keeps his charge, tail slam, water burst, anti-platform behavior, boss mechanics, summon requirements, drops, and overall fight identity.
The goal is for Ironjaw to remain dangerous without dealing damage appropriate for a much later-game boss.
Compatibility
- No world reset required.
- Existing worlds remain compatible.
- Existing island assignments remain supported.
