Introducing Articles of Temerant, a mod intent on ripping off implementing features from Patrick Rothfuss's masterpiece and putting them in Minecraft, a game that very clearly didn't need them. The features so far are:
Brigandine - A cheaper alternative to iron armour, also incredibly classy (will have another use in the future).
The Bloodless - A magical device from a faraway land, (somehow) found in the ruined treasuries of piglin bastions. When placed, it can protect an area around itself from arrows, allowing letting yourself to relax, knowing no skeleton can snipe you from a mile away. It also works when placed in the inventory, albeit with a cooldown, making being shot while travelling still a potential threat.
A buff to the Piercing enchantment that LITERALLY nobody asked for - This mod implements the same feature as https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/betterpiercing, allowing the Piercing enchantment to bypass armour.
Denner Trees and being wounded - If you have 2 hearts of health or less, you will gain severe debuffs, making you next to useless. As a way to circumvent this, you can find Denner Trees in the wild, that when cut with a sword will produce Denner Resin, which you can distill into a weakness potion in a brewing stand to make Ophalum, a formidable painkiller. Denner Resin by itself can numb out pain, but it comes with a dangerous cost of addiction. Did I mention milk no longer clears effects? (Don't worry, ways to clear specific effects might be added in an upcoming update.)
