What's new
Aeon Arsenal 2.0.1
Requires: Minecraft 26.3 · Fabric Loader 0.19.5+ · Fabric API 0.161.0+ · GeckoLib 5.5.6+ (below 6.0) · Java 25
Aeon Arsenal 2.0.1 is a focused hotfix for 2.0.0, introducing the new Aeon main menu alongside fixes for item loss, stat tracking, gameplay edge cases, networking and server performance discovered during a full audit.
This is a drop-in replacement for 2.0.0. Your worlds, weapons, magazines, skins and Operator Records carry over unchanged.
New Main Menu
The vanilla title screen has been replaced with a fully themed Aeon Arsenal main menu.
- The backdrop now overlooks the Aeon base at dusk, complete with the watchtower, corporate towers, dropship and B-17 hangar.
- Fog drifts across the yard, embers rise through the scene, and the environment subtly shifts with your mouse movement.
- All interface text is rendered by the game rather than baked into the background, keeping it sharp across different resolutions and GUI scales.
- Decorative elements automatically move out of the way on smaller or narrower windows.
- Menu buttons can now be activated with Enter or Space. Previously, keyboard navigation could select buttons with Tab but could not activate them.
- Settings → Aeon Main Menu → Off restores the vanilla Minecraft title screen.
Item Loss Fixes
Reloading
Repeatedly pressing reload during an active reload could consume additional magazines and loose ammunition.
In extreme cases, six quick reload presses could destroy four magazines.
A reload now consumes exactly one magazine.
Loadout Deployment
Deploying a loadout previously deleted items occupying hotbar slots needed by the loadout.
Those items are now:
- Moved safely into your inventory.
- Dropped at your feet if your inventory is full.
Deploying a loadout should no longer destroy existing items.
Stats & Progression Fixes
- Headshot kills now correctly count as headshots for credits, Operator Records and contracts.
- A non-lethal headshot can no longer incorrectly cause a later kill to count as a headshot.
- Grenade kills are now credited to the grenade itself. HE, Tactical Strike, Molotov and incendiary kills no longer count toward whichever weapon you switched to before the explosion.
- Molotov and incendiary kills now count correctly.
- “Frag Out” can finally be completed. The challenge requires 50 grenade kills, but grenade kills previously weren't being tracked.
- Cryo Grenades and Tactical Strike Beacons no longer count as HE grenades or complete “Use an HE grenade.”
- Cryo Grenades and Tactical Strike Beacons now have their own statistics.
Gameplay Fixes
Cryolock
Cryolock can no longer leave mobs permanently frozen.
This could previously happen when the stun was interrupted by:
- Entering a portal.
- A chunk unloading.
- The world closing.
Mobs already stuck frozen in older saves will automatically thaw the next time they load.
Scoped Accuracy
Holding a scope for longer than ten seconds no longer causes the accuracy bonus to disappear.
The scoped accuracy bonus now also ends reliably when you:
- Sprint.
- Reload.
- Switch weapons.
Tactical Strike
- The four-beacon limit can no longer be bypassed by multiple players throwing beacons simultaneously.
- If a beacon deployment is refused because the limit has been reached, the beacon stays in your hand.
- The tooltip now clearly states that a Tactical Strike Beacon cannot be aborted during its final two seconds.
- Destroying the beacon during those final two seconds triggers the strike.
Servers & Performance
Dramatically Reduced Effect Traffic
Tracers, Tactical Strike Beacons, Gravwell fields and smoke clouds now send each effect as a single packet rather than sending individual packets for particles.
Measured per watching player:
| Effect | Before | 2.0.1 |
|---|---|---|
| Rifle shot | ~65 packets | ~5 packets |
| Tactical Strike countdown | ~30 packets/tick | ~4 packets/tick |
| Smoke cloud | 23 packets/tick | <1 packet/tick |
The visual effects remain unchanged.
Request Rate Limits
Every action a client can request from the server is now rate-limited per player.
This prevents modified clients from flooding servers with expensive requests while leaving normal gameplay — including automatic fire — unaffected.
Server Cleanup
Per-player runtime data is now cleared when a player disconnects instead of accumulating until the server restarts.
Dependency Requirements
Dependency ranges have been tightened:
- Fabric API must now meet the version Aeon Arsenal was built against.
- GeckoLib 6.x is explicitly excluded.
Aeon Arsenal 2.0.1
New command interface. Fewer packets. Safer inventories. More reliable combat.
Built to End the Fight.
