Profet's Timber

Chop one log and the whole tree comes down, cartoon style.

A vanilla data pack for Minecraft Java 26.2 and 26.3. It runs on the server only, so players join with an unmodified game. It also comes as a mod (Fabric, Quilt, NeoForge, Forge) and a server plugin (Paper, Purpur, Spigot, Bukkit).

• The whole tree falls, cartoon style. It shivers, drops onto the stump, leans back with a creak, bends as it tips over, slams down and splats its crown, then pops apart log by log. Smooth at any frame rate.
• One tree at a time. In a crowded forest, neighbouring trees keep their own logs and leaves.
• Never fells builds. Logs you placed are left alone, and so is anything without a leafy crown.
• Falls where it makes sense: away from you, or into open space when something is in the way.
• Everything attached comes along, such as vines, cocoa, hanging moss and snow.
• Every overworld tree, including the 2×2 giants, and poplar on 26.3.
• Fair durability. The axe pays for the whole tree, Unbreaking included. A tree that would break your axe isn't felled.
• Everyone chooses. Any player can turn it off or on for themselves with /trigger timber.

Sneak to take a single log instead.

Operators open a clickable menu with /function timber:settings. It sets the maximum tree size, how sneaking works, where drops land, whether an axe is needed, durability use, the animation and placed-log protection.

• Data pack: put the .zip in your world's datapacks folder and run /reload. Don't unzip it.
• Mod (Fabric, Quilt, NeoForge, Forge): get the mod version instead.
• Server plugin (Paper, Purpur, Spigot, Bukkit): on Modrinth.

Use only one of the three. To remove Timber cleanly, run /function timber:uninstall first.
