Enchanted Timber

Tree felling becomes an enchantment.

An add-on for Timber (1.1.0 or newer; install both) for Minecraft Java 26.2 and 26.3. It adds the Timber axe enchantment. Only an axe that has it brings the whole tree down; without it, you chop log by log as in vanilla. Early on you chop the hard way, later you earn the shortcut.

1. Get the Timber enchantment on an axe.
2. Chop a log of a natural tree.

Sneak to take a single log instead.

• A real vanilla enchantment for any axe, max level I, shown by name in the tooltip.
• Found like Fortune: at the enchanting table, as a librarian's book, in chest loot and fishing, and on enchanted axes from toolsmiths and weaponsmiths.
• Combines on the anvil with every other axe enchantment, including Efficiency, Fortune, Silk Touch and Sharpness.
• Timber's own rules still apply on top: sneaking, durability, placed-log protection and the size limits.

Operators can try it with /enchant @s enchanted_timber:timber.

You need Timber 1.1.0+ and this add-on.

• Mod: put the -fabric.jar (Fabric or Quilt, needs Fabric API) or the -forge.jar (Forge or NeoForge) in mods, together with Timber. The CurseForge app adds Timber for you.
• Data pack or server plugin (Paper, Purpur, Spigot, Bukkit): those builds are on Modrinth, linked at the bottom of this page.

Removing the add-on removes the enchantment from every item the next time the world loads.
