🧰 Toolbelt
Automatic tool management for Minecraft: Bedrock Edition.
Toolbelt makes mining, building, and gathering smoother by automatically selecting the right tool for the block you're breaking — without turning Minecraft into a completely different game.
Break stone and Toolbelt selects your pickaxe. Start chopping wood and it switches to your axe. Dig dirt, sand, or gravel and your shovel is ready automatically.
It can also protect valuable tools by switching to a healthy replacement before the current one reaches critically low durability.
Developed by Nexium Labs.
✨ Features
- ⛏️ Automatic Pickaxe Selection — Stone, ores, deepslate, concrete, furnaces, and other compatible blocks.
- 🪓 Automatic Axe Selection — Logs, planks, fences, wooden workstations, doors, and other compatible blocks.
- 🥄 Automatic Shovel Selection — Dirt, grass, sand, gravel, clay, snow, soul sand, and more.
- 🛡️ Low-Durability Protection — Automatically switches to another healthy tool before your current one gets dangerously low.
- 💎 Silk Touch & Fortune Awareness — Helps prevent accidental switching between valuable Silk Touch and Fortune tool setups.
- ⚙️ In-Game Configuration — Every player can customize Toolbelt from a clean settings menu.
- 👥 Per-Player Settings — Perfect for multiplayer worlds, Realms, and dedicated servers.
- 🧩 Tag-Based Compatibility — Uses official Minecraft block/item tags instead of a fragile hard-coded block list.
⚙️ In-Game Settings
Run:
/toolbelt:settings
From the menu you can configure:
- Automatic tool selection
- Automatic low-durability replacement
- Silk Touch / Fortune separation
- Tool-switch notifications
- Critical durability threshold (5%–30%)
- Enchantment preference
Every player can configure Toolbelt independently.
💎 Silk Touch & Fortune Friendly
Toolbelt is designed for players who keep multiple versions of the same tool.
With enchantment separation enabled, Toolbelt helps preserve your current mining workflow instead of unexpectedly replacing a Fortune pickaxe with a Silk Touch pickaxe — or the other way around.
You can also choose whether Toolbelt should prefer Fortune, Silk Touch, neutral tools, or simply preserve the tool style you're already using.
🔧 How Tool Selection Works
Toolbelt uses Minecraft Bedrock's official vanilla destruction tags to determine which tool belongs to a block.
That means it is not limited to a manually maintained list of block IDs. It can continue working across a much wider set of vanilla content and can support third-party blocks/tools that use Minecraft's standard tags.
Toolbelt v1.0.0 manages tools in your hotbar only. It intentionally does not rearrange your main inventory.
