BestGamer's Minecraft Overhaul: End Updates, Nether Updates & More!

This addon introduces plenty of features and changes to make the world of Minecraft more interesting to play!

While I personally I enjoy vanilla Minecraft survival a decent amount,  there’s a lot of changes I would make to it if I could. Lot’s of removed or unused content I would like to bring into the game, plenty of general quality of life features and especially more End content would all be great in my opinion. So that’s what my goal is for this addon! It’ll try to improve your experience across all 3 dimensions, with new blocks, mobs, ores, structures and more! There’s quite a lot that is introduced by this addon, so I'll simply recap some of the best bits featured in the updates to each of the three dimensions and let you discover the rest on your own!

The Overworld should hopefully be feeling even more alive than usual thanks to this addon, and that may show through the addition of some new plants to spice up your world! Not only are there a couple of new flowers that can be found in various biomes and be turned into dyes, but there are also side variants of mushrooms that can be great for potential decorations! On top of that, you can find Whitecap Mushrooms (and tall variants) that will illuminate the dark forests of the world, Tomatoes growing in villages and even a plant that can be dug up by the Sniffer called the Trapper Plant. Some of the new plants won't just be appreciated by you, but also by a friendly new mob called the Bloomer that can be tamed with flowers and bonemealed to grow some more plants!

Minecraft has a handful of features that have either been removed from the game or are just unused, and as such you wouldn't be able to find them in vanilla survival. Well this addon also brings some of that content into survival! Some of the Rabbits that you usually find may end up not being so friendly, especially if they end up being a Ravenous Rabbit! This variant of the Rabbits is very vicious and can be dangerous, but if defeated you may get a fang that can be used in some crafting recipes, one of which being a powerful new weapon called the Amethyst Shatterer which can stun mobs that you strike with it.

Whilst snooping around Dark Oak Forest or Pale Garden biomes, do be cautious of a small new structure that can spawn in, as it houses a powerful spellcaster named the Illusioner! They can blind you, conjure identical clones and pelt you with arrows from a bow, but if you manage to take this illager down you can sometimes obtain your own spell that will allow you to summon clones that can distract enemies. Maybe Crystalised Honey could be helpful when fighting the Illusioner, which you can obtain by smelting Honeycomb in a furnace. You can eat it to get some regeneration or brew it into potions that boost your health for a short period, and can also make some Wax Blocks using it if you have any spare honey lying about!

Desert and snow biomes in your world may be of opposing elements and climates, but they both receive some notable updates in this addon. When travelling through the frostiest parts of your world at night, be cautious of the Frost Bite, a powerful new Spider variant that can conjure huge icicles out of the ground that can hurt you pretty badly! But if you manage to survive those vicious attacks, you may stumble upon a small new Graveyard structure, which may house some secrets that you can uncover by brushing suspicious-looking blocks away with a Brush! Deserts and beaches can also spawn Palm Trees, which you can either chop down to utilise the new Palm wood set for building with or shatter the coconuts hanging from them with an axe to get some exotic food! Beaches can also spawn some nice little seashells that are mainly decorative, although you can also rarely find a Nautilus Shell lying on the shores as well, which could be useful for building a Conduit should you find one!

The Badlands are among the hottest parts of the world, and there are some new features to be found there as well. Instead of Husks you may find Stained Vessels spawning, which act similarly but inflict nausea on hit so watch out for that! Both Husks and Stained Vessels can also drop some new items, including sand, gold ingots and rarely pottery sherds, so there is some new reason to potentially farm them. Camels can also spawn in these biomes now, and if you kill them you might get some meat or pelt, the latter of which you will need to craft saddles. But if you don't wont to kill Camels, you can also find their pelt in some chest loot, including that of a new structure named the Outpost! This new structure houses some nice loot, including suspicious blocks that you can brush away to find some more goodies, but this is guarded by Stained Vessels so take care around the place. A potential item you can find in this chest loot as well as scattered across the hills of these biomes is a new block called Strata, which you can use for building and also turn into slabs, stairs and walls which could be pretty cool!

Finally, let's venture on into the caves, for there lies plenty of new content to be found underground as well. If you're going mining for certain ores, maybe try looking underneath certain biomes, since you can now find more of them underneath specific places in your world; for example, there is more Coal to be found under Swamps, more Lapis under Deserts and more Iron in Lush Caves! Underneath snowy biomes you can also find more of a new ore called Mithril, which can be smelted into ingots and used to forge some highly durable armour and also a few other utilities like a magnet that can pull dropped items towards you!

Many new creatures are also roaming around the caves, including skeletal fish swimming around in the waters, aggressive Roxens in Lush Caves that can be bred and killed for meat, hostile Dripstone Hobs in the Dripstone Caves and Sculk Ghouls teething throughout the Deep Dark. You can also find Orxes, which are creatures made of stone and differing minerals that you can either kill to grab some of those minerals or farm them, as they will rarely drop them at random like a chicken does with eggs! Some new structures also include Cabins that generate in the Deepslate caves, small chambers found in the Dripstone Caves and small excavation centres in the Deep Dark, but when exploring those do be wary of the new Sculk Jaw block that will eat you up if you step on it!

The Nether has also seen plenty of new features and changes all over it, with plenty of new foliage to be found! You can find side variants of the fungus in the forests similar to the mushrooms of the Overworld, and those could make for a good decoration alongside the new Sanguine Sprouts found in Crimson Forests. Some less friendly plants to be found include the Wither Roses which now generate in Soulsand Valleys (and can be used to brew Decay potions!) and the Volatile Shroom, a mushroom that will EXPLODE if you step on it so watch your step! Crimson and Warped Forests will also respectively contain Dragon Cherries and Corrupted Melons, which are some new plants that you can harvest and eat as food, but watch out since they can burn and poison you if you come too close! You can regrow those crops using the meal of a Wither Skeleton's bone, not with any other bone meal, so keep that in mind.

New ores galore! Soulsand Valley biomes will now contain some deposits of Iron in the soil that can be mined with a shovel, giving you a good source of it in the Nether even if you do have to visit a pretty dangerous place to get some. While you're at it, maybe mine some of that new Soul Sandstone and use it for some builds, or smelt some Soul Sand into some special glass as well! Taking your mining to a Warped Forest can provide you with Uranium, a new material that can be used to craft some pretty powerful items, such as throwable Tunnelers that explode or a Nuclear Fury staff that can intoxicate nearby mobs. The Basalt Deltas will also not only contain some Gilded Blackstone that can be mined for gold but also Rubies, which you can either use to make decorative blocks or some handy equipment!

When exploring, do be wary of the new and updated mobs to be found in the Nether, as many of them are't friendly. Shroomlight Bugs and Pests inhabit the two forest biomes and are neutral, but Pests will become aggressive if they spot you taking any Corrupted Melon since they like it so be careful around them! You can collect some Melted Shroomlight by using a bottle on the bugs, and drink that to clear the Wither effect or brew potions with it, whereas Pests may drop glands that can be used for crafting. The forests also inhabit Wart Crushers, hostile amalgamations of warts and fungus that will attack you on sight; proceed with caution through these biomes. Other hostile mobs include Soul Scuttles found in Soulsand Valleys, Necromancers which only spawn in the Soul Towers structure in the Soulsand Valley and the Basalt Giant, a powerful monolith of basalt and magma that resides in the deltas biome. If all that wasn't bad enough, Wither Skeletons can now sometimes spawn with a bow and shoot withering arrows at you!

Finally, there are plenty of new structures to be found in the hellscapes of the Nether as well! Blackstone Forts generate in the Basalt Deltas, towers and shrines can be found in Soulsand Valleys and campsites may rarely generate in the forests, as well as small ruins in the Nether Wastes. These structures may contain some nice loot for you, but keep your eyes peeled for any potential threats they may house as well!

The End is easily the most boring and least content-filled dimension in the vanilla game, so this addon introduces loads of new content to this barren place! New mobs, structures, plants and ores, including a ore more powerful than Netherite in the form of Bismuth, are included and can be found by exploring various parts of the End. Hopefully this dimension will be a much more interesting place and offer more end-game content after beating the Dragon, and will successful give you more inceptive to visit the End and spend more time there!

This addon introduces so much more than what I listed here, but you'll have to discover all of that yourself! If you made it this far, thanks so much for reading all of this, and I hope you really enjoy playing with the mod!
