Inventory Totem
Totem of Undying works from any inventory slot — not just your hand.
If a totem is anywhere in your inventory when lethal damage lands, it saves you exactly like a hand-held one. No health hacks: the pack moves a totem into your offhand before the killing blow and lets vanilla do the rest, so it works on one-shot kills and stays achievement friendly.
Requirements
- Minecraft Bedrock 1.21.80+
- Behavior pack enabled in world settings
- No experimental toggles needed
How it behaves
- Free offhand: a totem is kept there automatically and refilled from your inventory after each use.
- Shield in offhand: a shield only blocks while sneaking, so the totem takes the slot while you are not sneaking and the shield returns the instant you sneak.
- While sneaking: the totem swaps in only when something lethal is incoming — a fatal fall (detected mid-air, even at full health), high-speed elytra flight, nearby creepers or primed TNT, lava contact, or low health. Your shield comes back a few seconds after the danger passes.
- Nothing is ever lost. If your inventory is completely full, the swap is skipped instead of dropping items.
Exceptions
- Void damage and /kill bypass totems in vanilla, so they bypass this pack too.
- Not covered: dying from full health in a single unpredictable hit while sneaking with a shield equipped (for example /damage 100).
- Creative and Spectator players are ignored.
Configurable
Everything is adjustable in scripts/main.js — thresholds, whether the shield may be displaced, custom totem item ids, and message language (English / Turkish).
