Description
Flare Gun adds a compact cave-exploration weapon to Minecraft Bedrock.
Craft a flare gun, load it with flares, and shoot bright flare projectiles into dark caves, cliffs, mineshafts, and combat spaces. Flares fly like arrows, stick where they land, spark while burning, and light the area for a limited time before leaving a spent flare behind.
Features
- Adds a craftable Flare Gun item
- Adds craftable Flare ammo
- Shoots custom flare projectiles
- Flares light up caves for 120 seconds
- Flares stick where they land
- Sparks and smoke while burning
- Deals fire damage when hitting mobs
- Flare Gun does not lose durability
- Spent flare models clean themselves up after a short time
- Designed for survival cave exploration and lightweight combat utility
How to use
Craft a Flare Gun and Flare ammo at a crafting table. Keep flares in your inventory, equip the Flare Gun, then use/right-click to fire.
Shoot into dark caves to reveal terrain before entering, mark a path from a distance, or hit hostile mobs to deal direct fire damage and briefly set them on fire.

Notes
Flares use temporary light blocks to illuminate nearby air spaces. They are designed to clean up automatically when the flare burns out, after reloads, and when old spent flare models expire.
The Flare Gun uses ammo instead of durability, so the launcher itself does not break from use.
Requirements
- Minecraft Bedrock 1.26.0 or newer
- No additional behavior pack dependency required
