Description

Bedrock Furnace Minecart

Bring Java Edition's Minecart with Furnace to Minecraft Bedrock Edition.

Bedrock Furnace Minecart adds a faithful Bedrock recreation of the classic Minecart with Furnace, built around Bedrock's native minecart runtime so it behaves like a real minecart on rails instead of a mob riding inside one.

Pack by Johny Redstone.

Features

Fully Functional Minecart with Furnace
Adds the classic Minecart with Furnace to Minecraft Bedrock Edition with functional fueling, propulsion, rail movement, interaction, visuals, damage behavior, and drops.

Native Minecart Rail Behavior
Uses Bedrock's native minecart runtime for smooth movement across straight rails, corners, slopes, and rail transitions.

Correct Rail Alignment
The Furnace Minecart sits properly on the rails without floating or constantly bouncing and automatically faces the correct direction when placed.

Java-Style Propulsion
Fueling the cart allows it to propel itself along the railway in the same general role as Java Edition's Furnace Minecart.

Coal and Charcoal Fueling
Both Coal and Charcoal can be used as fuel. Each fuel item provides approximately 3,600 ticks, or 3 minutes, of fuel.

Directional Interaction
Interacting with the Furnace Minecart sets its push direction away from the player. Using Coal or Charcoal at the same time also adds fuel.

Powered Furnace Visuals
While fueled, the Furnace Minecart uses its lit furnace appearance and emits smoke particles.

Minecart Collision and Pushing
The Furnace Minecart retains proper minecart collision behavior and can push other minecarts along the railway.

Native Damage Wobble
When struck, the Furnace Minecart uses the native minecart damage wobble behavior.

Correct Item Drops
Breaking the Furnace Minecart returns the Minecart with Furnace item instead of leaving behind a normal Minecart.

Java-Style Non-Rideable Behavior
The Furnace Minecart cannot be ridden, matching its intended Java Edition role as a powered utility minecart.

No Experimental Features Required
The add-on uses the stable Minecraft Script API and does not require experimental gameplay or preview APIs.

Crafting Recipe

Combine 1 Furnace and 1 Minecart in a Crafting Table.

This creates 1 Minecart with Furnace.

The recipe is shapeless, so the Furnace and Minecart can be placed anywhere within the crafting grid.

How to Use

Place the Minecart with Furnace directly onto a supported rail.

Interact with the cart to set its push direction away from you.

If you are holding Coal or Charcoal, interacting with it will also add fuel and start or continue its self-propelled movement.

Once powered, the Furnace Minecart follows the rail network using native minecart physics. It can travel through corners, slopes, and rail transitions while also pushing other minecarts along the track.

Compatibility

Minecraft Bedrock Edition 1.26.40+

Uses the stable Minecraft Script API.

No experimental gameplay features required.
