Description

GlymeraSaurians

Awakens Hytale's hidden Saurian race — a hostile tribe with unique lootable weapons.

Deep inside Hytale's game files sleeps an entire race: the Saurians. Fully modeled, fully animated, with three class outfits and their own Adamantite weapon line — but Hypixel never wired them up. They have no AI role, no spawn entry, and their weapons have no recipe, no loot table and no merchant anywhere in the game. We checked every single file. This plugin wakes them up.

Features

A hostile tribe, spawning naturally

Saurians spawn through Hytale's native ambient spawn system — they appear around players in the wild exactly like boars or deer, no timers, no tricks. Four variants roam the world:

They chase, circle, back off and strike — real melee combat AI. They fight as a tribe and never attack each other.

Unique weapons, loot only

The Adamantite Saurian weapons (Rare, item level 40) cannot be obtained in survival any other way — no recipe, no chest loot, no trader. Killing Saurians is the only source:

  • Hunter: 15 % chance to drop the Spear (throwable!)
  • Rogue: 15 % chance to drop the Daggers
  • Warrior: 12 % chance to drop the Saber
  • Green Saurian: 5 % chance to drop the Daggers

For creative builders, the Daggers are also added to the creative menu (Saber and Spear are already listed there by the base game — just unreachable in survival).

  • worldWhitelist — Saurians only spawn naturally in listed worlds (default preconfigured)
  • spawnChancePercent — throttle natural spawns from 100 down to 0
  • biomes — enable/disable every environment individually (all Zone 1 biomes + Zone 4 jungles, default all on)

Apply changes live with /saurian reload.

Admin commands (OP only)

  • /saurian — spawn all four variants in front of you (preview/testing)
  • /saurian clear — remove all command-spawned Saurians
  • /saurian count — count Saurians in loaded chunks, with distance to the nearest
  • /saurian tp — teleport to the nearest Saurian
  • /saurian reload — reload the config

Clean by design

Naturally spawned Saurians despawn with their chunk like ambient wildlife — they never pile up in your world save. No dependencies, one self-contained JAR.

Installation

Drop GlymeraSaurians-1.0.0.jar into your server's mods/ folder and restart. The config file is created on first boot at mods/Glymera_GlymeraSaurians/config.json.
