Description
Glymera Primeval
An endless dinosaur wilderness - with research facilities you can make your own. Savanna, red desert, green swamp, sea and islands, roamed by 42 dinosaurs. Far apart from each other stand research facilities - a Research Center, a Stilt Station or a Desert Bunker. Claim one with an access code, and it is yours: a fence goes up, the gate opens only for you and your friends, and inside a fully furnished lab waits - lockers you can open, quads you can drive, fossil tables where your hunting trophies become museum skeletons.
- One endless world from Hytale's own generator - savanna, red desert, swamp, sea and islands, no towns or ruins in between
- 42 dinosaurs - plant eaters that defend themselves, meat eaters that hunt, flying reptiles that take off and land
- 3 research facilities - Research Center, Stilt Station, Desert Bunker - furnished down to the last test tube
- Claim, fence and manage your plot in windows - trust, ban, home, give away, give up
- 46 hand-modelled lab pieces, a drivable quad, real containers
- Fossils: every 5th dinosaur drops a Dino Bone - 10 bones make a museum skeleton
- Protected wilderness: nobody builds or breaks outside their own plot
Quick Start
- Create the world (once, as OP or from the console):
/gprim world - Go there:
/gprim go- you arrive at the entrance of the nearest research facility./gprim center,/gprim stiltsor/gprim bunkertake you to the nearest facility of that type. - Get an access code: craft it at the Alchemist's Workbench - 50 Greater Essence of Life. There is one code per building type: Research Center, Stilt Station, Desert Bunker.
- Claim the facility: use the terminal beside its entrance. A window shows what you get and claims the plot with one click.
- Manage it: the terminal of your plot - or
/labfrom anywhere - opens your plot window. - Hunt: every 5th dinosaur you defeat drops a Dino Bone. Bring 10 of them to a Fossil Preparation Table and build a skeleton.
The World
- Endless and natural: savanna plains and forests, red desert with dunes, plateaus, oases and tar pits, a green swamp with lakes, the sea with tropical and temperate islands - all from Hytale's own generator, blended naturally.
- No buildings of Hytale: no towns, camps, ruins or dungeons in this world - the research facilities are the only buildings.
- Plots far apart: one research facility every 768 blocks, at least 500 blocks of wilderness in between. The ground of each plot is levelled into its surroundings, with no trees cut in half at the edge.
- The building fits the landscape: a Research Center in the savanna, a Stilt Station in the swamp, a Desert Bunker in the red desert.
- Protected wilderness: outside their own plot nobody builds, breaks, digs, tills or pours water and lava. Hunting is allowed. Explosions hurt creatures but break no blocks.
- One world only: dinosaurs appear in the primeval world and nowhere else.
The Dinosaurs
42 species with their own models, animations and voices. They live where they belong:
| Where | Who |
|---|---|
| Savanna plains | Triceratops, Edmontosaurus, Gallimimus, Brachiosaurus, Diplodocus, Apatosaurus, Styracosaurus, Pachyrhinosaurus, Argentinosaurus, Tyrannosaurus Rex, Allosaurus, Carnotaurus, Utahraptor, Quetzalcoatlus |
| Savanna forest | Stegosaurus, Kentrosaurus, Iguanodon, Dryosaurus, Hypsilophodon, Ankylosaurus, Euoplocephalus, Mamenchisaurus, Pachycephalosaurus, Dilophosaurus, Troodon, Compsognathus, Therizinosaurus, Ceratosaurus, Dimorphodon |
| Swamp | Parasaurolophus, Corythosaurus, Lambeosaurus, Maiasaura, Ouranosaurus, Baryonyx, Dimorphodon, Spinosaurus, Compsognathus |
| Red desert | Protoceratops, Psittacosaurus, Velociraptor, Pachycephalosaurus, Amargasaurus, Argentinosaurus, Giganotosaurus, Therizinosaurus |
| Coasts and islands | Pteranodon, Quetzalcoatlus, Compsognathus |
- Plant eaters graze and wander in herds - and defend themselves: attack one and it strikes back with a tail whip or a stomp.
- Meat eaters hunt - and they will hunt you.
- Flying reptiles take off, circle, hold their target and land on dry ground.
- Groups, not crowds: dinosaurs come in groups, spread out naturally, and appear out of sight - behind or beside you, 40 to 60 blocks away. Meat eaters never appear right beside plant eaters.
- Loot: meat, bones, hides and feathers - and every 5th dinosaur a Dino Bone.
- Never on your plot: dinosaurs never appear on or near a claimed plot, and any that wander there are stopped at its fence.
The Research Facilities
| Facility | Where | What is inside |
|---|---|---|
| Research Center | savanna | two floors of concrete, steel and glass - labs, offices, quarters, kitchen, reception hall with fossil cases, garage with quads, a lookout tower and an observatory |
| Stilt Station | swamp | a field station on stilts with walkways - labs, a radio room, quarters and a lookout tower above the trees |
| Desert Bunker | red desert | sunk into the ground: a ramp down to the airlock, a glass dome over a garden atrium, labs and quarters around it, a technical level below, an observatory beside it |
- Fully furnished: lab benches with microscopes, centrifuges and test tubes, fume hoods, incubators, egg incubators, cryo tanks, fossil preparation tables, fossil display cases, offices with monitor walls, bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, workshops, fitness rooms, server rooms.
- Real containers: lockers, fridges and kitchen units open like chests.
- Glass you can see through, sliding airlock doors, working stairs and ladders.
- The building is protected: walls, floors, windows, doors and technics cannot be broken - not even by the owner (switchable). Furniture, garden soil and plants are the owner's to change.
Your Plot
- Claim: access code in hand (or in your inventory), use the terminal - the window shows the facility, your codes and your plot count. Up to 3 plots per player (config).
- Fence and gate: a 4 block high iron fence goes up around the whole plot, with a wide sliding airlock gate on the side of the entrance. It opens for you and your trusted players - never for a dinosaur.
- Build and dig on your plot from bedrock to the sky.
- Manage it in a window: trust players (they build with you), ban players (they stay out), set a home point, travel home, give the plot to another player, give it up - with a confirmation where it matters.
- Give it up and it comes back: a plot that is given up returns exactly to how the world generated it - building, furniture, ground. Chests are emptied first, nothing drops. Then it is free for the next player.
The Quad
The garages hold research quads. Use one to get on and drive across the wilderness with an engine sound; get off and it parks again as a block, facing the way you drove. In water the ride ends. Weapons cannot destroy it. On a claimed plot only the owner and trusted players may drive its quads.
Fossils and Skeletons
- Every 5th dinosaur you defeat drops a Dino Bone (counted per player, survives restarts).
- 10 Dino Bones make a museum skeleton at the Fossil Preparation Table - every research facility has several.
- Tyrannosaurus Skeleton, Apatosaurus Skeleton, Velociraptor Skeleton - mounted on a stone plinth with a brass plate, in the size of the living animal. Place and turn them like any furniture.

Good to Know
- Everything in one plugin - the dinosaurs are part of it, no other mod needed.
- The world is endless and seed-based: plots and buildings are a function of the seed, generated the moment someone comes near.
- Native mob spawning is off in the primeval world - the plugin brings its own dinosaurs.
