What's new

Xiion's Cooldown Sound Manager 1.3.1

This update completes support for all native Cooldown Manager alert event types and includes a major reliability pass for Midnight's protected cooldown and aura systems.

New / Improved

  • Added full support for Cooldown Available
  • Added full support for On Cooldown
  • Added full support for Charge Gained
  • Added full support for Aura Applied
  • Added full support for Aura Removed
  • Added full support for Pandemic

Charge Gained

  • Charge Gained now uses Blizzard's native per-charge scheduler
  • Sounds now play for each individual charge returned
  • Multi-charge abilities correctly alert at each restored charge instead of only when all charges are full
  • Removed direct charge-count tracking from XCSM

Aura Alerts

  • Aura Applied now uses Blizzard's final native aura-applied alert edge
  • Aura Removed now uses Blizzard's final native aura-removed alert edge
  • Pandemic now uses Blizzard's native pandemic timing and final alert edge
  • XCSM no longer needs to inspect aura timing, aura instance data, or duration values directly

Cooldown Reliability

  • Improved Cooldown Available behavior in Mythic+, Delves, and dungeon content
  • Improved On Cooldown reliability in protected combat environments
  • Added safe fallback handling for situations where Blizzard does not schedule the normal Available alert edge

Safety / Stability

  • Removed legacy charge-count comparisons
  • Removed direct aura timing reads
  • Removed custom Blizzard alert payload mutation
  • Avoided protected cooldown duration object reads
  • Avoided frame-pool Acquire hooks
  • Reduced interaction with secret/protected combat values

Debugging

The following optional diagnostic commands remain available:

/xcsm availdebug
/xcsm cddebug
/xcsm chargedebug
/xcsm auradebug
/xcsm auraremoveddebug
/xcsm pandemicdebug

All diagnostics are disabled by default.

Validation

All six alert types were tested individually in live gameplay, including:

  • Open world
  • In combat
  • Follower dungeons
  • Delves
  • Mythic+

No Lua errors were observed with the final 1.3.1 implementations.
