WoWGPT puts an AI-style assistant right inside World of Warcraft — a chat companion that lives in your HUD.

At its core it's a conversational helper for playing WoW. Open the window, type /wow, or turn on sticky-chat so bare lines go straight to your agent. Ask in plain language about quests, where you are, gear, talents, and achievements. It reads your live character data — tracked quests, current zone, equipped items, spec — so answers match what you're doing right now, not a generic wiki dump.

What makes it more than a FAQ bot

A whole cast of agents, not one voice. Swap between eleven built-in personalities, each tuned for a job:

• Arcanum — a sentient, roleplaying spellbook companion (the default)
• WoWGPT — the straight, practical guide
• Architect — UI specialist that can rearrange your interface
• Lorekeeper — zone history and quest narrative
• Dungeon Coach — gear checks, talents, and group-content prep
• Pathfinder — navigation, points of interest, and waypoints
• Quartermaster — gear, item level, and upgrade priorities
• Chronicler — achievements and collection goals
• Mentor — friendly fundamentals for new and returning players
• Merchant — a simulated in-game token economy and player-to-player trades
• Wayfarer — voices the NPCs you talk to

Set a default in Settings, switch on the fly from the dropdown, or import community agents to add new voices, personalities, and AI prompts.

Talk to the NPCs. Hit Converse on an NPC's quest or gossip window to open a branching, data-driven conversation right beside it — so you're never pulled away from the NPC you're speaking to. Each NPC remembers your conversation separately, and imported community agents can bring their own authored, lore-specific dialogue.

Runs 100% locally — real AI optional. Built-in agents answer instantly from the game's own APIs with no internet connection required. When you want open-ended, freeform replies, flip on the optional desktop companion (/wow bridge on) to route through an LLM — each agent carrying its own system prompt.

More than Q&A. The Architect UI Editor can move, scale, and hide frames from a prompt and apply scenario layouts (Raid, Arena, and more). Add text-based RPG adventures set in Azeroth, aesthetic tweaks (NPC renames and model preferences), a token economy, and a Menu for Settings, Bridge & AI, Profile, and more. Group up, and agents can even share surveys, notes, and layouts with trusted party members — with a configurable trust level so only who you choose can trigger networked actions.

Feels like part of the game. Replies land in the WoWGPT window and your normal chat frame. A minimap button gives one-click access; the window is resizable and remembers its size, with a font-size slider, optional timestamps, and one-tap quick prompts. Bind any hotkey — modifier combos included — to toggle it. Works on Retail and Classic flavors.
